18 Dough is a new culinary delight in the Southwest part of the valley. In its Grand Opening period, my husband and I dined here earlier in the week and a second time on Mother’s Day with the whole family. What does that tell you? Yes, this place is good and serves some of the best wontons and soup dumplings I’ve ever had! It must be the magic in that dough - it’s so delicate and melts in your mouth. The receptionist greeted us with a smile and remembered us from our last visit - a nice touch. With this being a special occasion, we didn’t hold back on our food selection. For starters, we ordered 2 servings of Red Oil Wontons (MUST TRY THIS, it's our favorite), Pork Soup Dumplings, Cheese Soup Dumplings and Stuffed Meat Pie. The starters were served with three dipping sauces - red chili crisp, house sauce and sweet/sour sauce. While the sauces are a nice option, the food is so flavorful and seasoned to perfection, it can stand on its own. For the main course, we ordered Sweet n Sour Ribs, Signature Fried Rice and Mongolian Beef. While waiting for the entrees we were surprised with Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls, Pork Potstickers and Chocolate Dessert Bao - compliments from the kitchen. The Dessert Bao has a banana and nutella like filling that when consumed together it draws a complete foodgasm! Just when we thought the meal couldn’t get any better, the ribs arrived. They were so tender, cooked to perfection and the flavor was exceptional. The Signature Fried Rice was packed with generous portions of ham, shrimp, chicken and veggies. We had the Mongolian Beef on our last visit, so we knew what to expect and it did not disappoint.

Our servers were so kind, attentive, and explained that the “18” in the name of the restaurant means good fortune. We left feeling completely satisfied, with good fortune dough in our bellies and we’ll be sure to return for some more.

The next time you find yourself near Rainbow & Sunset, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You’ll...

Hand -pulled noodles & dumplings are definitely in my top 5 favorite things to buy when eating out. The wild thing is that I'm from the Seattle area and lived most of my life there. I relocated my family to LV about 6 years ago and found there to be so many more places to eat this stuff than Seattle had that I still haven't gotten to all of them. The noodles I've had here have also generally been far better than the places I frequented in WA.

So how did this spot fare in the crowded market here in NV? Honestly, pretty well. The noodles & dumplings were fresh & delicious. The space was absolutely far more comfortable and inviting than The Magic Noodle, which has kind of been the king of this sort of food here since I arrived. The prices were on par with similar spots here & we will definitely be back for more!

My favorite item was the lo mein. i wish I could have purchased a bucket of it. Why have the noodle spots not adopted that great idea pioneered by fried chicken joints like 60 years ago?!! I wouldn't mind if the dumplings came by the bucket as well. My soup was good but i asked for no bok choi or white onions and they opted to play it safe & give me no veggies at all. I like veggies, I just don't like THOSE veggies. That's really my only complaint though otherwise, this spot...

Had a great early dinner today ay 18 Dough! We tried the pork soup dumplings, spicy pork rib noodle soup, and spicy beef noodle soup. Our favorite ended up being the spicy pork rib noodle soup! The pork was flavorful and tender and the broth was delicious. I would definitely come back here to get it again!

The spicy beef noodle soup had good flavor but there was a little too much szechuan pepper in our opinion so it overshadowed the beefy flavor. The beef was cooked well though!

The pork soup dumplings were also good but we have a favorite xlb place in Chinatown that we like a lot and sells them around the same price, so in comparison these unfortunately fell short. I’m not saying they are bad at all. They are still tasty, but get outshined by our favorite spot.

The service was great and our waters were always filled. I think this is a solid new place to try out if you’re...
