Embark on a flavor-filled journey at All'Antico Vinaio, the famous sandwich shop from Florence that has recently brought its culinary expertise to Las Vegas. My experience with their world-renowned sandwiches, a perfect blend of flavors that the Mazzanti family has perfected since 1991, was terrific.
Nestled in the beautiful streets of Florence, All'Antico Vinaio is known for its excellent culinary achievements, attracting Italian locals and tourists worldwide. The Mazzanti family's passion for their craft is evident in every bite, with their legendary sandwiches prepared using fresh and high-quality ingredients, all nestled in freshly baked Tuscan schiacciata bread.
In the crowded streets of Florence, these sandwiches have achieved legendary status and have been praised as one of the best street food experiences worldwide. Saveur magazine, the authority in culinary excellence, has even named All'Antico Vinaio the "home of the world's best sandwiches." Now, this iconic establishment has extended its reach, bringing the allure of Florence to Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas location is an authentic representation of their Italian counterparts, a testament to the Mazzanti family's commitment to culinary excellence. The sophistication of their offerings elevates street food to an art form, transcending borders and bringing the allure of Florence to the heart of Las Vegas.
Let me introduce you to All'Antico Vinaio's masterpiece, La Schiacciata del Boss, a sandwich that exceeds culinary boundaries with its unmatched combination of fresh ingredients and artisanal craftsmanship. Prosciutto Toscano, a hallmark of Italian excellence in cured meats, is at the heart of this culinary masterpiece. The prosciutto is thinly sliced carefully, presenting a marbled texture and a rosy hue, indicating its exceptional quality and authentic Tuscan heritage. Each bite reveals layers of savory richness. Complementing the Prosciutto Toscano is the Pecorino Toscano, a cheese from Tuscany's lush green hills. This aged pecorino delivers a robust and nutty flavor profile, while its crumbly texture adds a delightful complexity to the ensemble. As you savor each bite, the Pecorino Toscano reveals its distinct character, a harmonious combination of tangy undertones and subtle saltinessâthe truffle cream, a revelation that elevates La Schiacciata del Boss to ethereal heights. The cream is infused with the earthy essence of truffles, enveloping the palate with an intoxicating aroma and a symphony of flavors. This truffle cream is carefully spread between the fresh Tuscan schiacciata bread folds, adding a luxurious and decadent dimension. Now, let's turn our attention to the bread â the canvas on which this culinary masterpiece unfolds. The Tuscan schiacciata, freshly baked and emblematic of Italy's rich baking tradition, is the vessel for this extraordinary combination of flavors. Its exterior boasts a golden, crispy crust, giving way to a soft and airy interior that cradles the ingredients with a gentle embrace. The schiacciata becomes the conduit through which the Prosciutto Toscano, Pecorino Toscano, and truffle cream coalesce, creating a sensorial tapestry that lingers on the palate.
All'Antico Vinaio invites all food enthusiasts to indulge in an extraordinary culinary experience in the heart of the dazzling Las Vegas strip. Join me in celebrating the marriage of Italian tradition and modern flair as this esteemed Florentine sandwich shop brings its unparalleled culinary legacy to our city. Five stars cannot do justice to the sensory delight that awaits within the walls of All'Antico Vinaio â it is a gastronomic revelation that will undoubtedly captivate the cosmopolitan souls of Las...
Read moreAt first I snubbed this place because of the hype. Even though I started out eye rolling, they have won me over. Fresh, pretty good, interesting sandwiches. A bit overpriced for a sandwich, but it is a pretty good sandwich and it usually lasts me two meals anyways.
We live in this complex and there are many great dining options. One day we decided to try this place when there wasnât a crazy insta-ready line out the door. Itâs not bad, a little unusual, but fresh and tasty actually!
I have a lot of dietary restrictions so I like the Venice beach with avocado and pecorino cheese spread added, on GF bread (itâs a turkey sandwich but the turkey has an interesting anise-based crust). Weâve tried several sandwiches. If you like variety and eat pork youâll never run out of new combinations to try.
The employees work hard to make sure our sandwiches, and especially the cold cuts, are always fresh, sliced right in front of us. Thatâs huge for me because my stomach is sensitive and doesnât like meats that have sat out. And they are friendly and even remember my order when they see us!
The store is also always very clean, even if a bit crowded.
Overall a good experience. We keep finding ourselves getting sandwiches now and we donât regret it!đ
[Also, to the reviewer who said that encountering some Latino employees at this place somehow lowered the quality of your experience, wow!
After seeing that comment, I watched how hard each employee was working the next time I was in there, to make sure I wasnât missing anything. The Latino guy was shaving my sandwich meat thin, making sure I got a decent dose of every ingredient on my sandwich, etc. I didnât notice any difference between him and the Italian guy Iâve seen do it on other days, even though I looked for one. If anything the Latino guy was working harder than average.
Weâve been here at least 20 times at this point because itâs such an easy place to eat since we live in the complex, and I can say thereâs no lowering of quality with the recently hired Latino guys. Sure, itâs fun to have the Italian guy talking to me with his âexoticâ accent, but the Latino guys are working at least as hard as he is.
If you are so set on being spoken to by someone with an Italian accent instead of someone whose first language is Spanish, then go to Italy. Otherwise, this is the United States of America, and people who run restaurants hire Americans, whether they grew up speaking Italian or Spanish at home. Your $20 sandwich doesnât entitle you to require that all employees in an Italian themed/origin sandwich shop have Italian accents.
I still canât believe what that other reviewer wrote...
Read moreTucked amid the novelty of The Uncommons, one encounters a small slice of Italyâs culinary tradition: AllâAntico Vinaio. As a Parisian critic with a discerning palate, it is not often I find myself captivated by foreign fare, let alone in a city known more for spectacle than for culinary refinement. Yet here, the atmosphere of AllâAntico Vinaio feels surprisingly like a comforting echo of the Old World. It may not serve the rustic flavors of Provence or Burgundy, but there is an undeniable kinship in its devotion to tradition and the purity of its ingredients.
The charm here lies in the modesty and authenticity with which each panino is crafted. The establishment prides itself on simplicityâbread, meat, cheese, and vegetables, each of the finest quality, assembled with respect for their natural flavors. There is no need for ostentatious flair; the ingredients speak with their own quiet elegance, reminiscent of the modest but expertly crafted dishes of the French countryside. Indeed, the professionals behind the counter approach their craft as any true artisan would, with a sense of reverence and careful attention to detail.
The experience is rooted not just in fine ingredients but also in the warmth of the staff. Polite, precise, and clearly well-versed in their craft, they bring a respectability to the dining experience, elevating it beyond the realm of mere sustenance. They are as much custodians of their kitchen as they are of the food they present.
AllâAntico Vinaio may not be a piece of France, but in its steadfast commitment to quality and tradition, it certainly feels like kin. A welcome addition to the culinary landscape of Las Vegas, it reminds me that food, when done with care and purpose, transcends borders and speaks to the universal language of taste and memory. Bon appĂŠtitâor, as they say,...
