Capital Seafood Restaurant 金都海鲜 — Restaurant in Spring Valley

Becareful walking up the stairs to the second level, is dangerous. Uneven stair spacing and tiles. I don't there are any inspections here.

Unfortunately, if your not of Asian decent you may not want to come here, you will be ignored. There was constant attentive service to other tables.

The chicken lo mein was adequate, had flavor and noodles were cooked to a good texture. Just nothing special about it. The house scallops had a different crunch coating to it with an extreme amount of green onion. Good but not memorable.

I was not prepared for the shell to still be on the shrimp that was seasoned. The shell was not cooked enough to easily chew and break down. Trying to then peel the shrimp was ridiculous since it took so the seasoning off. Should have just sent it back however the next time we saw the server he slapped the check down on the table.

Pho broth tastes like cogged sink water with an onion floating in it. Dim sum was overcooked.

There are too many better food options around for you to even consider this place. Keep looking because this ain't it.

Also, my niece accidentally fell by the cash register, which was no big deal until this restaurant made it a big deal. She slashed her pinky toe pretty badly; blood wouldn't stop without a band aid or tape so we asked for a band aid. Denied. Asked for tape, also denied, but then they asked "why you need tape????" Sir. I know you saw my niece fell so you gonna act rude AND dumb? They said they don't have any first aid kits, which is interesting because restaurants are required to at least have antiseptic, gauzes, and band aids. This is a rather "classic" China town style seafood place. As long as you understand that, you'll have a good time. If you come here, a couple of tips. Come here for the live seafood (crab, lobster, etc.) that you plan to eat with your hands, and if you're OK with things being spicy. A good litmus test of if you should come here: are you good with tasty prawns with the head and shell on still?

Items you should get to have a good time: XO whole lobster House special whole dungeness crab Salt and pepper prawns/shrimp with head on Ong choy This is the sort of place where they will bring you your live crab to show you, before cooking it for you.
