We had a family outing. 2 couples massages - for hubby and son in 1 room and for my daughters, together in another. The spa says K Spa, but don't expect a Korean jjimjilbang, because it's run by Chinese owners and masseuses who are very good at what they do. I was glad they were off the strip, and solidly in Chinatown where the prices are more reasonable. The price we paid for 2 was the price of 1 at any of the Strip Resorts. I was relieved to see the signage up front that notified customers that there was no funny business to be expected or tolerated from fetishizers.
It was a very clean, no frills, full body massage for 1 hour, with add-ons of CBD oil for my hubby with a pinched disc and back scrub for my son. The girls also had the same add-ons, which were $10 additional for each. I got the basic 1 hour for a single person, with no add-ons and it really was more than enough.
I have a sensitive spot by my shoulder blade that is really knotty. My masseuse could tell I was tight there, so she worked on that area for a few minutes, without making me uncomfortable or aggravating the tender spot.
You're face down in the beginning, after getting butt naked (I think my boys kept their underwear on) and under a flat sheet, with your face in a hole in the massage table (like at a chiro). They massage you through the sheets, so very little skin contact until they use the hot oils and what I think were hot or stringed stones. I'm pretty flexible and swim every other day, so my muscles didn't ache as much as the rest of my family. Hubby said he was glad his spine wasn't further aggravated and my son enjoyed his back scrub. The girls were side by side, but didn't hear the other's masseuse working on them, aside from a few questions about the temperature of the oil or if the pressure was too much. They were asked if they wanted additional add ons, but declined the offer, as I instructed them. I felt 1 add-on was plenty.
In addition to the back (face down) massage, facial massage, foot massage, face up torso/shoulder area massage, I got a great hand as well as scalp massage, which was truly pressure relieving.
Couples massage were $110, and add-ons were $10, so each of the couples cost $130 or $65/person. We tipped $20 cash to each masseuse, in Thank You envelopes and weren't at all pressured into getting additional services or giving additional tips.
We enjoyed the relaxing effect and are looking forward to our next family massage outing the next time we're in Vegas.
FYI - the more tense your are, the more you will feel a little sore afterwards. We had the same effect when we first started going to a chiro, and they explained that when the muscles are moved out of their usual "rut", that the body will attempt to move them back into their old place. So if you ache a little, afterwards, it's normal, not a mishandling on their end. Give it 2 days and keep gently stretching.
Also, be aware that there have been car break-ins all along Spring Mountain Rd and the general Chinatown area. We took Lyft there, so it...
Read moreI went here because of the reviews. I didn't go in with high expectations as I know you often get what you pay for. But the massage was not worth the price. The rooms are tiny and shielded with a cheap curtain. I spent most of the time listening to a guy loudly snoring and people talking. The tables are uncomfortable. They cut out a hole to stick your head through. The experience was extremely awkward. The masseuse didn't ask what I wanted and did not warn me when she was using hot techniques. It was awful when she poured scalding oil on my back. The hot stones were just as bad and no warning when it was going to happen. The techniques felt horrible. It was less of a massage and more of her grabbing and squeezing my muscles. She also kept leaving for several minutes I think to get supplies. The actual time getting massaged was 20 minutes less than 1 hr. At one point I could feel something rough on my skin. When I got dressed I saw single sheets of paper towels. I normally tip $20 but felt totally ripped off. I went up to pay and because I was going to use my credit card the price suddenly went up $2. I paid cash and left a $5 tip to which the male cashier told me off for it. He never asked for feedback and had he treated me with respect I would have shrugged it off. I'm a local and have tried a variety of places. It's a bait and switch expecting high tips with poor level service. I'll stick to the suburbs and pay the extra $25. At least I'm treated with respect. I'm finding more Google reviews are dishonest so I felt compelled to warn others. I saw another review say customers are given a $5 discount to give a 5 star review. I'm going to research a lot more closely the next time I...
Read moreThere are alot of reviews on here, good and bad. I happened to have a very pleasant experience. We came as a walk-in,early morning, and they saw to us immediately. I got a 60 min full body massage with hot stone and my partner got 60 min upper body massage with cupping and hot stone.
People seem to have a reoccurring theme in their reviews so I'd like to put my opinion out there for perspective. Some people have complained about the small rooms- Yes the rooms are only big enough for a bed, and enough space for the masseuse to walk around it. There are no doors, just curtains. The price is awesome so who cares? It was still very quiet in there apart for some bustle in the hallways.
Another common theme people spoke on is the masseuse leaving the room- Again the rooms are very small. If you have any add ons such as stones, lotions, hot towels, ect. The masseuse will have to go fetch said item which took all of 45 seconds. They do not leave you exposed what so ever as you are under a sheet.
An idea- there should be a runner of some sort, like a bar back but for bringing massage items so the person doing the massage doesn't have to leave. Teamwork ! Also, if you guys could turn up the heat just a little. It does get a little cold in the rooms.
As for the massage itself, it's heavenly. The woman was firm where I needed and soft where I asked her to ease up. People can't read your mind so tell them if something makes you uncomfortable.
All and all for 180 it was a very good deal. The tables were comfortable as well. Some reviews leave a bad impression but I think everyone should give them a try! I will...
