It’s a solid 4.7 for me.
After coming across this place on social media and seeing the good reviews, my friend and I decided to check it out.
We ordered the braised beef brisket panang, pot stickers, real crab rangoon, crispy pork belly, and green papaya salad.
The BRAISED BEEF BRISKET PANANG was flavorful but it wasn't as creamy as I expected. It was more on the thinner side. The beef was tender and the green beans were crispy. I would order this again.
The GREEN PAPAYA SALAD was a bit disappointing. My friend doesn’t eat spicy food, so I ordered this without spice, and maybe that's why it didn't have the flavor I was expecting. Not sure. :) I took the leftovers to go, and even the people at home mentioned it lacked flavor, without me saying anything. Maybe next time i'll try it spicy, like I usually do at other places.
On a positive note, the CRISPY PORK BELLY was great. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked, and the sweet & sour tamarind sauce complemented it well.
The POT STICKERS and REAL CRAB RANGOON were definitely our favorites. The crab rangoons were big and filled with real crab, as you would expect from the name. :) The pot stickers were really good, especially with the soy-garlic vinaigrette. The flavor was spot on! Their appetizers were buy one get one free when we went (I believe the deal runs Monday through Thursday). I’m not sure if it’s a limited time offer, though.
We wanted to try the CRABZILLA FRIED RICE, so we came back the next day with another friend. We ordered the same appetizers. Then we tried the crabzilla fried rice. My friend said it lacked flavor, but I thought it was delicious. I actually enjoyed it. They definitely didn’t skimp on the crab.
Wel also ordered MANGO WITH SWEET COCONUT STICKY RICE for dessert. The mango slices were warm, which made it a little hard to fully enjoy. The rice had a good flavor. It reminded me of a Filipino dessert, biko. Personally, though, I prefer the classic version.
The interior was beautiful, love the vibe and decor. The service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly. I’ll...

We ate: • Panang curry – rich, creamy, perfectly spiced • Pad Se Ew – tender noodles with that smoky wok flavor • Chicken wings – crispy with a garlicky punch • Papaya salad – super fresh, tangy, with just the right heat • Crispy pork belly – melt-in-your-mouth with a crackling top • Beef salad – bright, citrusy, with tender slices of beef • Chef’s special Thai guacamole (Krok-Cajete) – served mortar-style with shrimp chips, totally unique and so fun to share
WALK IN OR RESERVATION NEEDED: We walked in on a weekday and got seated pretty quickly, but with how busy it got later, I’d say definitely make a reservation if you’re going on a weekend or with a big group.
LOCATION/PARKING: Easy to find right on Spring Mountain in Chinatown. Parking was super convenient—lots of plaza spaces out front.
AMBIANCE / CLEANLINESS: Loved the modern vibe with all the purple lighting—totally Instagram-worthy but still comfortable and inviting. The place was spotless and felt well taken care of.
EMPLOYEES: Everyone was genuinely friendly, checked on us often, made great suggestions, and explained dishes we hadn’t tried before.
MENU: Really balanced—plenty of classic Thai dishes alongside playful twists like their Thai “guacamole.” Great for adventurous eaters but also perfect if you just want your favorite comfort staples.
DRINK(s)//FOOD(s)//SHOW(s): Everything we ordered was spot on. Beautiful plating, fresh herbs everywhere, and bold flavors. Didn’t do the ferris-wheel shots this time, but definitely coming back for that. Watching the tableside presentations at nearby tables was a show on its own.
OVERALL EXPERIENCE [Rating 5/5]: 5/5. One of the best meals we’ve had in Vegas lately—perfect for groups, sharing lots of plates, and soaking in the fun, energetic vibe. Can’t wait to come back and try even more...
Read moreWe wanted to try a new Thai restaurant when we came into town for a business conference and decided to go to Krok after seeing great reviews. We were surprised to learn it had just opened last week. The ambience is casual yet elegant enough for a date. The chef/owner, TK, prepared our starter shrimp Krok-Cajete at table-side, and it was delicious. I think he used two whole avocados.
The Papaya Salad was fresh and crispy. I even dressed the big lettuce that came with the dish in the sauce and finished the plate clean. The Pad Thai with steamed tofu was perfectly al dante and tasty. Green curry with chicken was flavorful but not overpowering as with most curry. I also loved the spicy chili peppers I asked for; it definitely added a serious kick! We ended with sticky rice and fresh mango — you can taste the thought that went into the preparation of this dessert. The sticky rice had a dense mochi texture and just a proper hint of coconut. I think the chef used a whole mango. It tasted as satisfying as it looked.
Overall, what makes Krok different, for us, is the freshness in all of what we tasted. It felt as if the chef genuinely respects the true nature of each ingredient he blends into the dishes. Price seemed a bit on the high side at first, but the portions were generous and the quality was excellent. Highly recommend Krok. we’ll definitely be back when we’re in...
