The only reason I am giving this place even one star is because Google won’t allow a lower rating and the hostess was very kind. Where do I begin? My party and I and got seated for our friend’s birthday dinner at about 8:00pm. We were promptly greeted by our server and given a list of water options. A few minutes later, we were served our water and, unbeknownst to us, this would be the last time we would be checked on for a full hour. The tables around us continued to receive service, but we appeared to be invisible to any staff in this establishment. It wasn’t until we said something to the very kind hostess that someone came over to speak with us. We would later find out that this “someone” was the owner. He came over to our table and asked me what happened. As I attempted to explain, I was cut off and not allowed to get a single word in. He would then explain to us that the reason why service was delayed was because a 10 person table had asked to split a check. I was confused by what appeared to he his excuse because another table wanting to split a check should’ve had nothing to do with our service (or lack thereof). This “owner” was also very touchy and continuously touched my shoulder and arm as he excused the poor service, which made me incredibly uncomfortable as a young woman. He then took our drink orders as we all wanted to order alcoholic beverages (keep in mind, this is over an hour in at this point). Then, he asked us if we wanted to order any appetizers. My friend asked for an order of calamari and a caprese salad. The “owner” then asked us if we wanted a charcuterie board since we were a large party. We thought this would be on the house since service had been so lousy, but since there was no mentioning of it being comp’d, we let him know that the calamari and caprese salad would be just fine. He then attempts to upswell us on appetizers by telling us that we should get two of each appetizer since we were a large group, with no attempt to bring one “on the house.” I’m not one to expect free food, but we thought there would be some attempt to correct what had happened so far, but we were wrong. The bottle of wine and appetizers we ordered came out and both were just ok, if that. However, we then waited another 30 minutes to get the two cocktails that we had ordered and these only came out because we once again had to say something. The food eventually came out and was nothing special. I ordered the pollo milanese. It was $29, unseasoned, and only came with a side arugula salad (you know it’s a bad dinner when the arugula side salad was the best part). It then comes time for dessert. No one else at the table is interested in dessert because everything else had been a let down. However, we of course needed to get the birthday boy a dessert. The server lists the dessert options and the birthday boy chose the soufflé. It came out with a candle, which was a nice touch, but the soufflé itself was smaller than the palm of my hand. The check comes out a little later and we are shocked to see that not a single thing was comp’d, including the birthday dessert. Last time I checked, even Applebees brings out a free dessert to celebrate a birthday. We couldn’t even discuss the tip amongst ourselves because our server and other wait staff proceeded to hover around our table until we signed the bill (which was funny, considering they were no where to be found for a full hour at the beginning of dinner, but were front and center for the bill). When we said something to the “owner” about the bill, he continuously touched my friend’s arm, complimented her appearance, and told her that he would refund the birthday soufflé (that was it). Despite the horrible service, we tipped, but I even regret that at this point. I’m not sure if this poor service came as a result of us being a younger group, but we all work in the service industry and would’ve been more than happy to tip well for even halfway decent service. I will never return to this establishment nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone...
Read moreMy family and I have visited this restaurant twice now. I forgot to post my review of this place after visiting the first time and since my daughter selected this restaurant for her graduation dinner, we had the luxury of trying it again to see if our opinions of this place has changed - it has not. This restaurant is great the moment you walk in. The customer service is hands-down exceptional. Honestly, I didn't expect this type of quality service from an Italian restaurant; typically you experience this with high-end steakhouses. I love drinking a lot of water so it was appreciative that the servers would constantly walk around filling the glasses without me having to ask for more water. Not to mention, it's good practice regardless of what customers think because we're in the middle of a desert!!
During BOTH of our visits, we tried the Minestrone soup, Pasta e Fagioli soup, Grilled Spanish Octopus, Insalata di Mare, Ravioli all' Aragosta, Spaghetti Neri ai Frutti di Mare, Chilean Seabass w/Lemon Caper Sauce (chef's special), Pollo Limoncello, side of Asparagus and Spinach, Crème Brûlée, and Tiramisu. All of these entrees, sides, and desserts were exceptional. I don't think I could even create any sort of criticism to any of these dishes if I wanted to. Even the bread and dipping oil they serve in the beginning were great.
Overall, this place is outstanding!! The funny thing about the experience is we were actually seated at the same exact table during our second visit, as we did during our first visit. This was uniquely insane and since I know that we'll visit for a third time, I'm curious if we'll get the same table yet again. If this occurs, I'm heading to the casinos...
Highly recommend this restaurant to all locals and visitors. I know it's a little off from the LV strip area, but take the time to try this place - it's definitely worth it! This restaurant has a lot of parking spaces to choose from as well, so there's no stress of driving around endlessly to try and find a decent...
Read moreIf I could put negative stars I would. There are so many things wrong with this restaurant I don't even know where to start. My family reserved a reservation on New Years weeks before to make sure we can get a spot and because we heard good reviews. SO WRONG! We got there and it was soo packed omg did not follow any cdc guidelines at all. Every table was packed even the bar had the seats close together and every seat was taken. Apon checking in we saw the owner with no mask at all walking around hugging EVERYBODY. Like cmon we are in a pandemic. We felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave but was told we were going to get charged if we cancelled ( horrible ). When we finally sat down and ordered our meal we had to wait more than 2 hours for it to arrive we were starving. Tables around us were complaining as well and went to talk to the owners and waiters. 2 minutes later a couple tables missing ( im guessing people walked out from waiting) we finally got our cold food. We asked for it to be reheated and we also didn't receive our side orders that we ordered. As we were eating, we saw waiters drinking with the customers behind our table, taking shots with them and giving them free drinks. We thought that was very unprofessional of them drinking on the job and they took many shots with them. We asked the waiters who seemed already anxious from something that happened in the kitchen maybe that what went wrong? They told us that they were short staffed and 3 cooks called out sick that day... Man we felt sick too and wanted to throw up. After the horrible service we received at that restaurant they still charged us full price and gave us a nasty raw runny dessert as a sorry. No discount and not even a sorry from the owner as we were walking out and saw him again...
