Stephano's Greek & Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Spring Valley

Today I ordered through postmates. The food was extremely cold it felt like the food had been sitting out for awhile the meat in the Gyro felt like it had been in a fridge or freezer it was definitely not freshly cooked. Was cold and hard to the touch. The food arrived to my house fast, I live nearby so I don't see how it could get so cold in a 2 minute drive right down the street. I also ordered fries which were extremely soggy and tasted like reheated fries from the day before, most people have experienced trying to reheated fries.. reheated fries have a dry consistency and make the fries all soggy and that's exactly what these fries were today. I also tried to call the restaurant before my order was delivered to ask if I could add on something in pay over the phone however their phones weren't working. So I couldn't even contact them to let them know that my food order was terrible. The last complaint I have is they didn't have an option to order a drink on the postmates app or on their website to order online which was disappointing because I would have liked to have a drink with my food.

To emphasize because I did get a response but I was not able to make a reply.. the issue wasn't with the delivery. Postmates delivered so fast that it didn't make sense why the food was so cold. I watched the driver arrive on the app and he picked up the food and got to my house in literally 2 minutes which means that the food was sitting there in the restaurant or old and they decided to send it out anyways. If the driver took forever then I would have assumed it was that.. but that was not the case. That is why I am writing...

Flavorful food, fresh ingredients, relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff, and fast service. I was sad when the other Mediterranean restuarant relocated to Village Square (great food too and great new location), however have been pleased with the this little gem. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the place is neat and clean even during lunch hour rush, nice covered outdoor seating. The seating is hard chairs, and with the high top ones, metal chairs, so feels a bit more fast food for me than stay awhile with family, however there's plenty of dine in space, and I've seen diverse mix of clientele. The taste of each of the dishes I've had so far has been great (I've been there several times for lunch over past week due to a busy schedule). The meat is tender and flavorful, the vegetables fresh. My view is that the menu is a combination of standards that you can get several ways (e.g. chicken shawarma in white or wheat pita, as a plate with sides, or over salad), and great options I've not had at some other restuarants (e.g. feta fries topped with feta and oregano... fabulously tasty... and ultimate greek grilled cheese with mozzarella, feta, garlic sauce, red pepper and mint flakes, olive oil...next on my list to try). The portion sizes for most items are large enough to have leftovers for a second meal. The quick service makes it great for lunch (I'll have to be careful of overuse as its right near my office, lol), however nice to...

So good that my father insisted we go back 2 days in a row! He got into town Tuesday and needed lunch so we went here and I got the garlic chicken wrap with hummus and he got the chicken Greek salad and we both inhaled our food!

We had a full day of running around for business on Wednesday and he craved the Greek salad so much that he wanted to go back but this time he got the gyros on the salad instead of chicken AND got a half a chicken to go so he could stop and eat it later on his business trip. I had the gyros wrap and hummus and took half home to have for dinner.

I can't wait to bring my picky husband here!

It's a tad expensive but what isn't these days. 🙄 I love that combos don't only come with fries and you can still get a free drink if you get a small hummus instead. Too many places insist on no substitution with a meal.
