Really good Korean BBQ restaurant conveniently located in the Northside. The decor in this establishment is seriously swanky. Definitely a great place to take friends, family, or a possible date to. A perfect opportunity to show off your grilling skills in front of everyone, each table has a small grill located in the center. You basically go to the buffet in the center of the restaurant (it's all you can eat!) and choose what types of meat and sides interest you. There is a great selection of seasoned meats, rices, kimchi, sauces, soups, salads, and vegetables to choose from. You take your uncooked meat back to your table and get to grilling. It is one of those experiences you just have to try. There is also a menu with additional items that you can order. I suggest the Korean hot wings and the LA Galbi. Overall, this place is a great place to eat at, but unfortunately it is not perfect. The pros are the location (not too many Korean BBQ restaurants in the Northside), the price (it's a reasonably priced buffet even compared to other Korean BBQ spots), the atmosphere (the modern vibe makes it feel like the whole experience should cost more), the attentive staff, and the many meat options. The cons would be the lack of sides at the buffet (mostly meat options, would love to see some cucumber kimchi or kimchi potatoes at the buffet), the lack of dessert options, and the $20 extra charge if you don't finish your food. Regardless, this is a solid Korean BBQ spot, and I highly recommend...
Read moreThis is what I tried and I think you should order when you come here.
Always order:
Pork belly and beef bulgogi
50/50:
Hangkunsal (pork cheek)
Bad: Chadolbagi Beef belly Spicy beef bulgogi
The always order selection is a solid choice and should always be ordered. It has amazing flavor and texture... though make sure to cut the pork belly
The pork cheek has way too much fat making some of it not edible or way too hard. I would preferably order the pork belly instead of playing this game of chance.
The chadolbagi and beef belly doesn't have a strong flavor and is pretty bland. Would not recommend it, though if you want to try it pan frying beef is what it'll taste like :c.
The spicy beef bulgogi spicy sauce has a decent kick to it, but its very different then the beef bulgogo in terms of taste, appearance, and texture. I would not recommend it to anyone, even if you love spicy foods.
Overall the service is solid and they bring you food at a good pace. There was only one tongs for two people, not sure if thats a mistake, but make sure to ask for more tongs if it isnt.
Oh and to end the review, its about 16.50 for lunch and 22 for dinner which was very well worth the price for what is essentially a buffet/grill and for the flavors.
Also their portions are abnormally larger then what you would expect and since its a buffet I recommend to order everything in half portions or even a quarter portion so you can at least try...

Came here on a Saturday night with family after an airport pickup. Frequented the Jin in Chinatown that is still running buffet style with full complement of sides, prepared dishes and meats and expected similar.
Located in the corner of a plaza with a few other asian restaurants, its a loungey vibe with decent parking. Waitstaff was very friendly which is a plus, and it was only 30% full so quickly sat down and got to eating. Food came out quickly so time from parking to belly is quick.
Tried: LA Galbi, hanjungsal, pork belly, beef belly, squid, octopus, beef tongue, spicy bulgogi, and shrimp.
Basically, Galbi was subpar quality, some pieces were 80% fat. Beef tongue was old and chewy, same with the squid. Pork belly, beef belly, and hanjungsal were delicious. Shrimp was decent as well.
Sides were decent that were there, slightly worse then a typical korean restaurant. Tofu stew was too salty though.
Unfortunately, this location doesn't offer the same buffet setup (which is fine post covid) but even worse they don't offer nearly the same selection of dishes (though the price is the same). Same franchise, but different owners... also, chicken wings are nowhere near the korean fried chicken wings of the other Jin.
Maybe come here if you're located north Houston, but the other Jin is definitely worth it more...
