Denny's — Restaurant in Spring

Terrible experience, my first and only visit to this location.

First, this one has a smoking section. This is not a knock on them, as I respect their right to cater to smokers. However, I hate the smell of it, and it lingered in the non-smoking section for the entire visit. Something to keep in mind.

There was a group of younger idiots carrying on and making a lot of noise, and the hostess seemed annoyed when I asked for a seat further away from them. Not really their fault, but it definitely hurt my experience.

The waitress was lazy and almost apathetic when I walked in, like she was half-asleep. She forgot how I wanted my eggs within 30 seconds and had to come back to ask again. The food I ordered came with orange juice and coffee, so I asked for sweet tea instead of coffee. And they are out of it. What kind of place in Texas is out of sweet tea?

My drinks did not come until 15 minutes later, after the food. Orange juice was completely forgotten, regular tea was brought instead of sweet, but no sugar anywhere in sight. I never saw the waitress again until I had sat for 10 minutes after finishing my food and went to the front to pay my bill. The food was decent, which is the only positive.

I ate here tonight with my friend and from the moment we walked in Jay greeted us and was so pleasant. He made us feel some comfortable and enjoyable. He smiled and was so joyful. Every customer that walked in he made sure he greeted them and went right over to take their order. He checked on every customer here. It’s not many restaurants you go to and find great customer service experience. This young man is doing a GREAT job! He deserves something for his hard work and dedication to his job and the company. Please keep Jay on the night shift. We need more people like him! Thank you so much Jay for being such a great guy.

Now the other server, KD was so rude. When we got here he was outside smoking cigarettes and when we came in he just looked. Laughed and talking to his friends. No great customer service at all. He didn’t any work. He only served one table, which was his friends while Jay did all the work. He shouldn’t be here if he can work and love his job. I assume he was told to go home when the other server came in and as he was walking out the door he looked at me and said “bald head ass” I’m not sure why he said that but I wasn’t going to get out of...

All the way from manager ,servers cashier and food that place is a total mess. Second part of the review: To prove myself right about management, I call to the phone provided on Google maps and came out to be a phone that is not in service but it looks good on the reviews if someone replies acting like they care. Food took an hour to come out, I order 2 plates with exactly the same thing they only brought one which obviously I gave it to my wife while I wait for my plate watching her eating, anyway my plate came out cold. I order a sweet tea they said they didn't have none at the moment because manager said not to brew sweet tea because not enough people order it so they wasn't going to brew it only for a few customers. The server was clueless of what he was doing. We went to pay nobody was paying attention so if I would be another kind of person I could just walk out the door and they would never notice but since we are not like that my wife had to go all the way to the kitchen to look for somebody to...
