Gyro Republic — Restaurant in Spring

Service was awful. I am standing there trying to order food and whoever the guy is behind the counter is NOT strong in communication skills. He whispered something which I took for what would I like, so I told him a salad. He mumbled something back and then proceeded to slowly put on his gloves….. ok cool the gloves seem a little tough to put on. Then he just stands around. So I am assuming he is waiting on help because maybe he is new, I’ve already told him what I wanted and he is just mumbling. Again, I don’t mind because I am assuming he is new. Finally another worker comes up to prepare someone else’s food and I am still standing there. The manager walks by and asks me if I have been helped and I tell him I am just getting a salad. The guy who was supposed to be making my food then snaps back that I never told him what I wanted. I’m thinking WOW, where did this voice come from???Excuse me? I communicated clearly what I wanted. His behind mumbled the entire time and doesn’t know how to put on plastic gloves and then has the nerve to tell me I never said anything? I almost walked out. I might stop back by and give this place another chance but it depends if he is working or not. If he’s working I’ll take a hard pass and just go to Olivet, drive 15 minutes to Cava, or...

If you’re in the Spring, TX area and haven’t tried Gyro Republic, you’re truly missing out. This Mediterranean gem has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat ever since they opened. The food is consistently phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions that never disappoint. Whether I’m getting a rice bowl or a salad bowl, it’s always loaded with quality ingredients and seasoned to perfection.

What makes Gyro Republic stand out even more is the atmosphere and service. The layout lets you customize your meal just how you like it, and the team is always patient and helpful. The restaurant itself is super clean, bright, and has a welcoming, family-friendly vibe that makes dining in a great experience.

But the real cherry on top? The staff. The owner and staff treat you like family—literally remembering my name and checking in to make sure I’m taken care of every visit. Huge shoutout to Eliza and Ari Ferrari who always greet me with a smile and provide top-notch service every time.

If you’re looking for the spot to grab a delicious, fresh, and satisfying meal, look no further than Gyro Republic! The food alone is reason enough to keep coming back loaded gyros, perfectly seasoned meats, crisp toppings, and that signature sauce that hits every time.

But what truly made our visit stand out was the outstanding service from Matt and Zach. From the moment we walked in, they were both incredibly welcoming, patient, and helpful making great recommendations, customizing our orders with care, and making sure everything came out perfect. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, and it shows in the energy they bring and the way they treat their customers.

Matt had a great attitude, cracked a few jokes that made our day, and handled everything like a pro. Zach was equally awesome super attentive and made sure every detail was spot-on. These two are an absolute dream team and deserve all the recognition!
