Overall my favorite was the spicy dog, mainly because it was something I’d never tried before and my expectations were greatly exceeded. Deep regret filled my body & soul as I remembered I’d agreed to split the spicy dog with my brother. That regret quickly subsided when the Nemo got to the table though, super tasty!
Extra points for excellent service, a cozy and beautiful interior, and food delivery.
What do I mean by food delivery? A lot of restaurants won’t deliver a tables food until everyone’s food is ready, which in theory may be nice because it means everyone can eat at the same time…cool, right?
In practice this has been the cause of a steaming hot entree and a lukewarm side item that should also be steaming hot more than once…
Reason I mention that is here every item seems to come out as soon as it’s ready. I could imagine not liking this because everyone could potentially eat at different times, but the difference in time is 5-10 minutes, and you get your food within 1-2 minutes of it being completed, which for me is a huge bonus!
Big thank you to our server today whose name I unfortunately didn’t grab, they were friendly, fast, and knowledgeable when answering...
Read moreI go to this place all the time and it's always great. The shop is fairly small and intimate, come enough and you'll be friends with the staff in no time. It's incredibly budget friendly, and that's before considering the new Happy Hour menu that runs from noon to 6pm every day (food and drinks on there!)
As for food suggestions you really can't go wrong, you're treated to a complimentary piece of gyoza, cheese stick (but not the kind you're thinking of) or bowl of edamame depending on what you order. I almost always start with Takoyaki as theirs is a very reasonable 4 pieces for $4 and is always a crowd pleaser. There's sushi rolls and pieces that will suit anyone's tastes, the ramen is the best you can find for the price, and the "cool dogs" are a fun Japanese twist on the American classic (and they're huge!).
Between the happy hour, the sushi roll combos and the small portion options (and prices) of the appetizers, it's a fun place to try a lot of different things without breaking the bank. I can't recommend this place enough, and the people here are always working hard to ensure you...
Read moreMy daughter and I visited last night! Wow! I'm so glad we found this spot, nestled in a small, almost vacant looking shopping strip, adjacent to a small gym/fitness ctr. Walking in this small yet cozy restaurant, we immediately sensed the positive energy, and the waitress approached us with an inviting smile and ready to seat us, where we'd like. She was so amazing and attentively delightful. For appetizers, we had the Gyoza🥟 and the Shrimp Tempura🍤. Both were delicious, hot, and fresh! As the weather was cold, I wanted to order a Ramen. However, we both decided to try some sushi rolls 🍣 instead. We ordered the Shaggy Dog, Pink Lady, and the Yakuza. Oh my goodness! 🤤🤤🤤 All were my first time trying, and they were great! This was my first time trying fresh water eel as well. Altogether, the experience was great. I wish I had taken some really good photos, but I was ready to dig in! My daughter took one quick snap! I definitely look forward to returning and trying their Ramen, as it also looked amazing, from seeing the other guest's...
