My husband and I walked in at 11 last night , and the staff were busily getting ready for closing while they don't close until 2.Everyone was acting like they were too busy to even wait on us.
We go to sit down and it was clear that if you were not a regular that you were not treated well. There were employees going around to what seemed every other table than ours . Going to chat with the "regulars" and seeing if they needed anything . Not a single person did as much as look our way.
I have been CRAVING crawfish for a few months and I see a girl get served a few pounds around 12 am, and I look at her and say hey those look great are they freshly made or are they old from earlier today and she tells me " no they are fresh and made to order" I say awesome ! I can get my craving at 12 am ... my husband goes to the bar and tried to order me some but they told him no and that they are only serving appetizers only lol but yet a regular just got served less than 6 inches away from me . What a freaking joke !!
The ONLY nice thing about this place was the Guinness girl was walking around promoting the beer and was so nice and gave us our two free beers and was the nicest thing ever . But however when me and my husband both go to the bathroom I come back to sit down and there eager staff was taking our drinks away as if they were in a rush to get the hell out and we still had two hours left !!!!!
When my husband when to pay he said he wanted to use cash and not the card on file and the guy said okay and then came back and had ran the card anyways . Didn't even show him an intermixed receipt .
This was the WORST experience we have ever had and we don't get a chance to go out often seeing we have two kids . I am sure this is a cool place if you actually get attention and are a regular but they acted like we were pestering them and they just wanted to leave . No hospitality. I wish I could rate this less than a star. The whole staff needs an attitude...

If youâre on the hunt for the best, most flavorful crawfish in town, stop what youâre doing and head to The Flying Pug Sports Bar. Their spicy crawfish are absolutely to die forâpacked with bold, authentic Cajun flavor that hits all the right notes. These arenât just good⌠they might be the best crawfish in the entire area, and the pricing is refreshingly reasonable.
Make sure to save room for dessert because their raspberry cheesecake chimichanga is a hidden gemâcrispy, fried perfection wrapped around warm, sweet cheesecake, paired beautifully with creamy vanilla bean ice cream. Trust me, itâs the kind of dessert you dream about later.
While I havenât tried much else on their menu yet, they do offer a variety of themed nights like music bingo, steak night, and wing night, which gives the place a fun, local vibe.
Now, a few honest notes: ⢠Crawfish special nights are extremely popular (rightfully so), but the wait times can stretch beyond an hour. Thatâs fine by me, but the system for tracking whoâs next for a table seriously needs an upgradeâitâs outdated and too easy for people to be overlooked. ⢠The staff are friendly and work hard, but theyâre often stretched thin, which can cause service to lag during peak times. ⢠The menâs restroom needs immediate attention. Itâs frequently dirty, with water, grime, and urine on the floor. The sink is often a mess, and worse, it drains into a bucket of stagnant water beneath itânot okay.
Despite these flaws, I still highly recommend The Flying Pug Sports Bar for anyone chasing next-level crawfish and a lively atmosphere. A little more attention to organization and cleanliness would take this place from great to phenomenal. But if youâre a Cajun fan⌠youâll be back. Just...

But the smell of cigarette smoke lingers all thru the day, though technically they don't allow indoor smoking until after 3pm. As a non-smoker, I could smell it when I came in for lunch (ok, to watch the World Cup, lol) but it is faded a bit from the "non-smoking" from opening till 3pm, but the patrons do light up right on the bell at 3 and the smell gets intense quick. You can tell the smokers are a big part of business and smoking is allowed indoors all weekend as well.
Oh, and as we were there to watch the games (went two days in one week), the TVs were important. They do have a few big-screens and we wanted a close up feel. Sadly, their "big screens" are projection and somewhat dim and slightly blurry. Much better pictures on the normal TVs, of which they have LOTS, but all smaller than the one on my wall at home.
I would give their burgers 5 stars (truly excellent and BOGO on Tuesdays), rest of the food 3.5 stars, beer 3 stars, and ambiance sadly gets 2 stars. If my son hadn't been in a day camp right around the corner from them and if there had been another option close by with proper big screens and no-smoking indoors, we wouldn't have gone back for the second game and probably won't return except for a burger fix!
If smoke doesn't bother you and you don't mind watching events on regular size (nowadays) TV screens or dim blurred projection screens, then I think you'd like it here. They do seem to have some interesting events and specials so worth checking...
