I want to give sawyer park a good rating, but after over a year of bad experiences for our family- I just have to be honest. First off, if you don’t have kids, this is perfect for you! But, as advertised for a kid friendly and fun environment, we really have struggled to even get in to enjoy the place. Between random closures due to concerts, private events, and weekday closures- we just didn’t have any luck. Once we even tried coming, our son and I were walking through the grass and his leg fell through a metal pipe on their property. Thankfully I was holding his hand or he would’ve broken his leg. I spoke to a manager and they took our number, but we never heard back. We were supposed to receive a voucher only because we were turned away that day for a private event closure. We were really just expecting an apology but received neither. We’ve been served raw shrimp (which was handled appropriately), and unfortunately today we came in and after already on the lawn, told we had to leave because the cut off for the kids to enter was passed…but the kids currently there were able to stay. I also had called ahead of time due to the previous inconsistencies we have had to make sure the lawn and kid area was in fact open before we drove there (10 min before arriving) and was not told anything about kids not being allowed in passed a certain time. We were asked to leave at 7:30 while we saw the lawn filled with kids playing. We want to support local entertainment, but after today, we won’t be returning. Attaching photos from the...
Read moreI have been going here since they opened and loved this place but recently the service has gone way down hill. I came a few weeks ago and they brought out the wrong order TWICE. Zero apology or concern. Very rude waitstaff. Tonight we returned around 6pm and were not greeted at all. After 30 minutes we ordered drinks from the bar. It started to get crowded so we flagged down a waitress that had been passing by our table several times and asked her if she knew who our waitress was. Her response was “Who brought you these drinks?” We explained we had to get them from the bar because no one had greeted us. Instead of an apology or even a warm greeting, she said “I need a card to start a tab.” From then on the waitress continued to be terrible about checking back and was overall just bitchy. We felt extremely unwelcome and it was totally unnecessary. A very terse food runner threw our deviled eggs on the table and walked away without a word. The eggs actually were pretty good but presentation was a soupy disgusting mess and barely have a morsel of burnt ends on them. The rest of our food was just ok. And to top it all off, they advertised March Madness games and then piped in the sound from the Astros game instead. Absolutely ridiculous that the third game in the baseball season would be more important than March Madness. We will not be back, too many better...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite spots to catch games, sporting events, or live bands—they always have amazing entertainment! It’s one of those places where you instantly feel at home. The servers are super friendly, and you can tell many of them genuinely enjoy their jobs. The bartenders are fantastic—quick, efficient, and always friendly. Unlike some places where you’re waiting forever, these ladies crank out drinks fast!
If you’re looking for a great deal, definitely come on Wednesday night for steak night. They offer ribeye or prime rib with a salad and potato, and you can add shrimp as an option. I always go for the prime rib—it’s incredible, especially for the price! My friend and I usually share it, and it’s plenty. This time, I also ordered the mozzarella sticks, and let me tell you, they were huge! It was hilarious trying to eat them, but so worth it.
If you’re planning to throw a party or come with a group of friends, this is the perfect spot. Just remember to bring your ID—they ID everyone, which honestly makes me feel pretty good, haha. The layout is super convenient too, with restrooms on both the left and right when you walk in—a nice touch for a busy sports bar.
If you’re coming out for a live band, make sure to get there early because it fills up fast. Overall, a fantastic place to hang out, eat, and have fun!
