Swig — Restaurant in Spring

Have been here twice, first time was in the afternoon, I walked in and there were about 8 workers sitting around. Hadn't realized they were workers at first until I kept looking around because no one was behind the counter and finally one of the girls sitting down said "hey" as if she was annoyed I was in there. I said hi back thinking she would get up to take my order or tell someone else to but she began talking to one of the other coworkers about what drink she liked and proceeded to go make the girl a drink. Eventually another girl walked in from the back asked if i had a phone number with them and when i said no rather than asking me if i want to sign up just took my order. I got a Dr. Spice and pretzel bites with cheese. Drink was ok didn't hate it but wouldn't go out of my way to get it again especially with the service. Pretzel bites were disgusting, tasted hard as if they were a few days old. I did actually go back the same day just in the evening as I was picking up dinner and thought I'd give the place another try. I downloaded the app planning to order ahead and loaded my swig app wallet with $5, I saw in the app that if you order in the store you can order a cookie for free and opted not to order ahead. I ordered a Texas Tab and the cookie, my told my total is $6.39 and I hand the girl my phone with the QR code. She takes it but had no idea what to do and says I still have to pay and I ask if it's not linked to my wallet as there should be money on there, I know I should have had enough because my drink is only $3.65 and the cookie should be free. She proceeds to click something else and pulls up another qr code, I get my stuff and go. Cookie tastes like crumble but the Texas Tab is actually so good and I'd get another one if I wasn't so unhappy with this place. I'm unhappy because after checking my bank account this morning I see 3 charges, the original charge from my first order, the $5 I loaded to my wallet, and the $6.39 from my second order where I did not get the free cookie and the money was not taken from my wallet but instead from my debit card. I checked the app and I still have the $5 loaded...

I have been here twice now, both terrible experiences. So the first time I came by, I waited a couple minutes for an employee to walk out the back door to take my order. He looked MISERABLE. I get it, I worked retail for 10 years. But he made me feel terrible for coming, I felt like I needed to apologize to him. It was BAD. Drink was okay, so I figured he was just having a bad day, it happens.

Decide to give this place another chance a couple days ago. There was a sign by the drive thru menu to say pull up to the window to order, they have a wasp infestation. Should’ve been my first red flag. I pull up to the window…nothing. Cars lining up behind me. Still nothing. I decided to lightly honk after 4 minutes of nothing. Maybe they didn’t see me pull up. I know, I should’ve pulled away and leave, but again, I wanted to give Swig a fair shot. The employee finally comes to the window, looking miserable. Despite that, I still ordered. I got one medium big al. Diet Coke. Coconut syrup. Lime. I waited 3 minutes after ordering it. No one was in the lobby. They weren’t busy. It was 10 am on a Thursday. I would’ve driven away, but I already paid. I finally get my drink and drive away. She forgot to give me a straw. I had to park and go inside for one after waiting in the drive thru almost 15 minutes for a medium soda.

Two out of the three cars behind me just left after I pulled away. The car behind me and I even made small talk about how ridiculous it was while we were waiting.

Again, I get it. I worked retail and retail management for 10 years. I’m no Karen. But that being said, I will never go to Swig again, and I will mention my two bad experiences here to friends and family. Just go to Sonic. It’s cheaper and the service is ten...

This evening I stopped to get drinks for my family. We walked into the store at 6:30 PM and were immediately informed that the inside part of the store closed at 6:30 PM and so they would not help us inside. Not that big of a deal, so we went in the drive-through because the store closes at 7 PM. After placing our order and waiting in line, we got to the pick up window and waited about five minutes until someone came to the window and asked me the name for the order. I gave them my name, and then at that time is when they proceeded to make the drinks. During the making of the drinks they brought one drink with ice that was supposed to have no ice, but they caught it as they were handing it to me and took it back to make it again. After giving me five of the six drinks they acted like that was the complete order, and I had to ask for the sixth one and tell them what it was. They made that drink, and we finally had our full order. It had been about 25 minutes and we only had two cars in front of us in the drive-through at the beginning. When I brought the drinks home for my family, five of the six drinks were missing multiple ingredients so they did not taste anything like what they were supposed to taste like. For example, most of the drinks that were supposed to have fruit in them did not. I’ve been to this swig multiple times, and it’s been good. But this evening it seems like all the employees cared about was trying to clean up and close the store and did not care about having any customers and just wanted to get us out of there. I was very disappointed in the customer service, and that five of the six drinks didn’t taste that good and we’re not what...
