When we arrived, there was a group waiting in front of us that had been standing there for about 10-15 minutes and hadn't even been greeted by a hostess! Finally, they went and asked someone at the bar for assistance and she was very dismissive and said there wouldn't be a hostess unless there was an available table! Ummmmm that's not how it works!... finally we all got seated, but the hostess seemed very confused and didn't want to seat us at an inside table because it was a six seater and we were a party of 4 đ sooooo we sat outside... it was hot! We were there just before the full on Sunday rush, but they were understandably busy! One waitress called across to another and asked if she could take our table and with an attitude, she very much said we were NOT in her section and listed off all other table numbers... ummm sorry to be an inconvenience! đ€Ș So the other waitress, who looked much more busy, greeted us and took our drink orders! This is where my second star comes from! She was so kind and apologetic for our wait! I could tell she was a top notch waitress and I really wish I had gotten her name (she was a Hispanic lady) Anyway, I think this place could be better, but the inconsistency in staff training/management just makes for a bummer experience! The prices aren't outrageous, but they aren't cheap, so you don't want to feel stressed when you're spending money on something you could make at home (pancakes, eggs, coffee!)... it's too much of a hit or miss for me to take another chance on this place! We've been a few times since it's down the street, but I just can't anymore! And the food is good, but not good enough for all that! Best of luck...

Staff services - at times slower when the place is packed, but overall good and things are kept cleaned from what I have seen.
Interior setup - nice layout, have a patio outside for nicer days, separate to go area makes it easies to pickup carryout orders
To Go Online - Ok at best. At times menu is hard to navigate/understand and for MONTHS now when you place an order it does not give you an ETA for when the food will be ready.
To Go Phone - HORRIBLE! The phone system has been broken for MONTHS. If you try to call an order in, the To Go option sends you to voicemail box that is full. So if you screw up an online order or only have phone access to place an order your SOL. If you try to wait per the automated instructions, you get stuck in automated phone system Hell. So, that means no call ahead seating either, though they seem to be getting by that with an app now.
So, 3 good, 2 bad means 3 out of 5 stars. PLEASE FIX YOUR BROKEN PHONE AND ONLINE SYSTEMS!!! I have mentioned the last few times we have done take out and have been told that the manager/franchise owner is aware but not high on their priority list. Until they get it fixed, I recommend dine in only to avoid issues.
If they fix the phone/online issues, I will be happy to revise to a 5...
   Read moreA Live ROACH inside your utensil napkin can really negatively impact your dining experience. I won't attach the video or photo of the roach as to not gross anyone out. The 4 of us met for a morning brunch about 10:05 am at the Toasted Yolk Cafe' at 2211 Rayford Road in Spring Texas on Saturday 05/04/2025. Our server (nice lady) came over and scooped up the live roach in the napkin and balled it up and took it away. She alerted the Mgr. and he came over quietly to apologize and let us know that it was a known problem for them and assured us that the problem was / is being addressed. He said the heat and weather and other factors were the cause and everything possible was being done to correct the roach problem. I spoke with him again as we were leaving and let him know that the incident kinda ruined the meal for me. The food was not exceptional at all... I'm not a person that writes negative reviews, I only let everyone know what happened, so that they can make an informed decision on where they spend their money. I worked in retail (customer facing) for 30 years and I certainly understand that the customer is most certainly not always right. He did discount the meal for the 4 of us $4.71 (total....not each) though. We could have bought and all shared a coffee with that... Just keep your eyes open until they get the problem...
