Chick-fil-A. Enough said. But, specific to this location: I've never seen an unfriendly, unsmiling face here, or interacted with anyone who seemed harried or burned out. The employees seem genuinely happy to work there, and that is reflected in their excellent service and spot-on food. This is saying something, considering most of them are teenagers that are exposed to the extremes of Southeast Texas weather. This location seems to genuinely care about their people, with a HUGE double-lane awning at the drive-thru that sports both ranks of commercial fans for relief from the heat, and tall outdoor space-heaters for when it's cold. They also provide their outdoor people with cooling vests when it's their turn to take orders outside at the drive-thru in the blistering Houston heat. Traffic flow (what Chick-fil-A doesn't have a line?) was well-considered when they built this new location, with plenty of space in the lot so there's no pile-ups spilling out onto the street, and a really fast wait-time. The service is invariably quick, the orders accurate, the food hot and tasty. At the McD's next door, we always had to double-check our orders before we drove away, but this hasn't been an issue since this Chick-fil-A opened. McD's? What's that? They also have great responses to their phone app ordering system, but we've found it really doesn't cut down on the wait time, their drive-thru system is so efficient. Again,...
Read moreCame in for a late lunch and placed our order at the drive thru and the cashier taking our order was very dry, but not impolite. A few seconds after receiving our order, she just walks away from my vehicle with my card without saying anything. She then speaks to another employee and then comes back over and asks me to give the whole order. No problem I said and repeated the order. She gives my card back and I swipe to complete the transaction. I pull forward in the line and another employee comes up and asks for payment. I told her that I just paid with the previous person and I point over to where the first employee was so she could verify. Instead they go back to the window to discuss with someone else. Then, comes back a second time and says that I haven't paid. When I get to the window, I'm told again thay I didn't pay. I tell them that I did, just go talk to the FIRST PERSON. Now, I have to pull out my phone and show the transaction completed from my banking app. The cashier rolls her eyes and just hands the food over. Not one person in this entire line apologized for their error once. I'm not sure if this is what Chick Fil A counts as service, but clearly this is not what I expected. Won't be going back to that location ever again. Do...
Read moreI very seldom frequent Chick-fil-A. I take the grands there often. They love it. But I prefer going for breakfast sometimes. Maybe it's the waffle fries that turn me off. I love potatoes any way you make them, except the waffle style, the thicker the better.
Almost two weeks ago, I stopped by to pick up a salad to eat later for supper. I thought I'd get the one with the grill chicken. It looked good on the menu.
The container has the see thru top. It's unfortunate, but when I got ready to eat my salad, I saw a fly in it, crawling all on the lettuce. I was so disappointed and very hungry. There was nothing in the fridge but an apple and a few grapes.
I couldn't return it because they were closed. The next morning, I was going out of town well before they opened up. And they were closed on Sunday. So I returned it for a refund on Monday. There was no great apology. They offered to replace it with another one, but I said, "No, thanks." Needless to say, I won't be ordering another salad from Chick-fil-A, and I'll be going there even less...
