Taquerias Arandas — Restaurant in Texas

So very disappointed.. would have given 0 Stars but had to give at least 1 Star to rate and leave a comment. I called in an order and went to go pick it up. I was standing in front of the check out register, my purse on the checkout counter and my wallet in my hand.. there were 3 young men and a young lady standing against the wall just looking around. They were waiters and a waitress. I also noticed that another young lady soon joined them after a few minutes and they were laughing and talking to each other. Here I am standing at the checkout counter in front of the register with my wallet in my hand and I notice a bag on the counter that was obviously my order I came to pick up. I continued to stand there and watch the waitstaff just hanging out and laughing. I saw them look at me and they knew I had been there for several minutes and had not been helped. Well, guess what? A couple that finished their dinner came up behind me with their check. One of the female waitstaff came to the register, reached around me, took the couple's check and debit card, checked them out, gave them a receipt and turned around and went back to the group of waitstaff !! She left me in front of the register with my wallet in my hand and the bag that contained my food that I ordered on the counter!!!! I stood there for a minute thinking that surely this person would come back to the register, possibly apologize for being very rude and unprofessional but she just looked at me and then turned her head and started talking to the other waitstaff again.. I know that each one of them saw me. I don't know if it is a racial thing they have going on or if the manager condones this type of behavior. I finally put my wallet in my purse, looked at the waitstaff that were now looking at me again, I shook my head in disbelief of the way I had been treated and I walked out the door and back to my car. I had waited at that register for several minutes and humiliated when the young lady reached around me and took the payment and check from the Spanish couple that had walked up behind me and then totally ignored me! It is very sad that the waitstaff is allowed to treat customers this way. And, where was the manager ?!?! .... I wont be going back to this place and I will definitely make sure my friends are aware of the way I...

I reserved the patio for a networking meeting and instructed the restaurant to set up 7 tables with 4 chairs per table. I also inquired about access to their flatscreen for a presentation. When I arrived at the restaurant the tables weren’t set up correctly the patio was hot and it smelled of cigarette smoke. We directed the staff to come in to take orders. The plan went out the windows when I was told that they were right in the middle of a shift change so they wanted to see if we could close out our checks because the change. My reply was that each of our members were responsible for their own checks and the wait staff would have to approach each one independently. When we asked that the wait staff should start to take orders, the waitress hesitated because she told her manager that I was still speaking and they didn’t want to disturb the meeting. The real reason was that the waitress was close to the end of her shift and didn’t want to take on something she wouldn’t get compensated for. Almost immediately our meeting was interrupted and we were told that we need to needed to consume and that their minimum cost for a meeting such as ours would be $ 450.00. I replied to the man no one had come to take an order and his reply was that nobody wanted to order anything and the the waitress didn’t feel it was proper for her to interrupt us while I was speaking. He disrespected and disrupted our meeting to stand in the middle of the to basically scold me. Immediately everyone started to leave and the meeting abruptly ended. After everyone was gone and I picked up my stuff I asked a waiter walking by take my order. He brought my order and I requested to the manager hopping to clear things up. He was insistent that we didn’t order anything food to which I replied that no orders taken nor did anybody ask my guest to order anything. He pointed to some drinks on the tables and said, well what about those drinks that’s all they ordered. I said, they have drinks because they ordered them at the bar.
