Charly's Taqueria — Restaurant in Springdale

*Update and star removals: I don't know what has happened to them but on our last two visits we were very disappointed, especially since the prices have increased noticeably. They are very short-staffed and our server was inattentive and speaks absolutely no English. Just after we were seated, a large lunch group came in and, understandably I guess, all service went to them. We had to ask twice for chips and salsa even though their table had them before they were seated and the server walked right past us several times. We had to ask twice for napkins, our food was not hot when we got it, and other things that just made the visit unpleasant. I don't think we'll be going back.

Somos tejanos so we're always on the lookout for comida mexicana auténtica for lunch. We don't get to Springdale often but this place is muy auténtica, right down to the divey surroundings and picture menu on the wall. They also have a good selection of Mexican beers. We shared the Chile Relleno plate, the giant Torta with everything in the cocina thrown in, and a Victoria. Great meal. Friendly service....

The service was great she was patient and helped us to make our orders. The aguas frescas were so delicious that even the agua de pepino was a surprise going beyond with the tajin on the cup. They also have sodas and kids juices. The food was great I just believe the meats tasted either the same or cooked in the same place or needed to be switched to make the other food taste even better. For example the Al pastor tasted exactly the same as the chorizo. The grilled chicken on my sope should of been on the enchiladas instead and that tinga chicken should be on the sopes. Everything else was good it was tasty. They have 4 servings on different kind of salas on your like. They are in constant contact if your need anything else. You order before you get seated. This place is a hole in the wall—the best kind. Not a lot of people know about it, so there’s always a place to sit! The food is delicious, definitely made with love, which is what I search for. Us girls at the office have claimed they have to have crack in their meat, because the food is so addicting you just want more! Not literally, obviously. But it is so delicious, & not greasy. Very tasty, all sauces & side items are fresh, the food is made very quickly, and they are very friendly! I love this place, and so glad to have discovered it! I will recommend this to anyone. If you love Mexican food, try this place. You might never go to La Huerta again! I will add more photos the next time I go…too delicious to even think...
