Thai Delight Restaurant — Restaurant in Springdale

Thai Delight, a very nice, mom and daughter operation in a small old house converted to a restaurant. Limited seating, maybe 6 tables. The parking lot is cramped, not much bigger than the inside of the restaurant. The daughter is the frontwoman for the operation. She is very proud of her and her mother’s cooking, and she should be. It is good, fresh and well prepared. From the time you sit down, until you leave, you are going to hear that their food is the best Thai food outside of Bangkok. And according to her, every other Thai restaurant in NW Arkansas or Oklahoma is subpar, not authentic; the others don’t know how to cook. Kept reminding me that they do not use green peppers or onion. An experience I wasn’t prepared for, an owner gushing with in-your-face exuberance. She will wear you down, my brain hurt when I left. Hell, I don’t know if it was authentic or not. I haven’t been to Thailand. Don’t really care. It makes no difference. It boils down to, did I like the food or not. Our meals started with the Thai eggrolls. These were freshly made, delivered to the table hot. Delicious. I especially like the dipping sauce. Not too sweet and a little heat. My meal was the Thai Garden Delight Chicken. Very fresh vegetables, seasoned to a perfect medium heat. My wife had the Pineapple Fried Rice. A large fresh tasting plate of food. She enjoyed it. I am not generally a fan of Thai food, but Connie and her Mama have changed my mind and expanded my pallet. These two women are doing it right !!! I choose Thai Delight for lunch for my wifes benefit not mine. When we entered we were greeted with what I can only explain as genuine love. These ladies clearly love what they do and thoose that support them. Now to the food -WOW- it was fantastic and fresh. They do not take advantage of any compromises with food quality. Everything served here is top shelf, premium ingredients. Connie will gladly educate you on any dish and give you options and advice in your selections. My wife had 'Chicken Garden Delight' and I had the 'Thai Cashew Chicken'. Both dishes were spectacular in both presentation and flavor. I ordered mine with medium spice and was warned it would be Hot! Good thing I like spicy because it was indeed a tear jerker. We also had the Thai egg rolls, which were fantastic and the rice was probably the best I have ever been served. I cannot wait to return with friends and family to enjoy this wonderful little restaurant. Seriously, I am two hours from this place and would not hesitate to make the trip just for the food and service. They will treat you like family and serve you amazing food. Food is some of the best Thai cuisine I've had in North West Arkansas. Always freshly prepared, the owner/operators take great care of the quality of the food. The food is a bit less "Americanized" than other establishments in the area, sticking to authentic ingredients.

Owners frequently come out and converse about a variety of topics. First they come explain to new patrons the difference in their dishes from other locations, which is helpful but also a heck of a sales pitch. But once they see you a couple of times they keep track of you and engage in just good conversation. They are very sweet with kids and treat them like family. We make it a point to come up and eat there at least 3 times a month on Sundays. 3 dishes and an appetizer is able to feed my family of 5 with a bit left over. Prices are generally quite reasonable.

The location is a bit small for how good the food is and the number of people who want to eat there. It is hosted out of an old home. Seating is first come first serve. If you get there at the wrong time be prepared for a 45 min wait. They have a small waiting spot indoors for about 4 people. They recently swapped out the tables and chairs for new ones which is nice!
