Decided to check out a local steak spot because I was craving some. The service was excellent, Sarah was kind, frequently checked on us, answered all of our questions and went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our meals and drinks. The fried pickles were nice and crispy, which I love. The steak I originally ordered was well done, even though I ordered medium. After letting Sarah know, she put in an order to make a new one at the correct temp. The second stall was cooked perfectly. I got the petite sirloin which was the perfect amount of food. With it I ordered the chili and loaded mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious. It's definitely somewhere locals to the neighborhood spend time. Kinda dark, definitely has that divey vibe, but in a good way. Looks can be deceiving, and I was very impressed. The peach Margarita was delicious and refreshing, and priced fairly. I'll definitely be going back.

This place is exactly what you'd expect it to be for a Steakhouse and Spoetsbar in Springfield. It had all the hick vibes I was looking for with none of the hateful rhetoric. The prime rib was excellent, the tequila shots were heavy pours, and somehow all of the waitresses had southern drawls. I talked to a nice military vet while waiting to cash in my Keno winnings at the bar who agreed about the prime rib so you know it was good. I spent $52 (with tip) for a prime rib dinner with mashed potatoes and a big salad, a shot of Patron Silver and two white claws. The ladies were friendly, the crowd was nice, and I had a great time. I will definitely keep this place in mind for future steak dinners.

24 Oz of the best Tbone in Eugene is in Springfield at Centennial Steak House. Excellent dive bar in a strip mall vibe, incredible service and a great steak. Well worth having Google maps guide you to this gem. On my recent visit, I found a friendly staff who operated with efficiency and a perfect dash of badattitude to keep things rolling smoothly. My T-bone was cooked to perfection and was accompanied by an assortment of side options (I had grilled veggies.) The feel and overall vibe of Centennial Steak House was very Springfield and a welcome respite from the sometimes overly sensitive and meat limited venues in downtown Eugene. Well worth the effort.

We've been here multiple times and everytime the wait times have taken forever each time no matter the shift. Our most recent visit it took an hour to get our simple meal (then even longer for them to fix it). Our waitress was rude (which she was the last 2 times we've been in) when I complained about my meal she tried really hard to keep from rolling her eyes at me, she took my food came back and apologized then brought me back out my exact same streak just reheated more, I again said it still wasn't cooked correctly that it was still medium rare, still wasn't warm enough and they just reheated my first steak which dried it out she literally stomped her foot and said "oh my God" went over to her manager who didn't do anything then eventually the kitchen manager came out and was super apologetic and recooked my whole meal, which was awesome when all I needed was a fresh cooked correctly steak (thank you again) The waitress didn't bring my chili at all, eventually I just got the chili to go. I was told my meal would be comped for all the hassle plus another 30% off our total bill which is great thank you, I just wanted a warm, cooked correctly steak which is what I eventually got. When the bill came it only had the 30% off my meal, my meal wasn't comped, and they charged us an extra drink. By this point I refused to deal with the rude waitress again (who in fact rolled her eyes at me when I thanked her for the bill) we just dealt with Country who took the extra drink off but we weren't comped my food just the 30% off my steak at this point we just wanted to go home, we had been there an hour and half and they weren't that busy so we paid and left. Don't offer to do something and then not follow through! Last time the same waitress kept forgetting stuff for our table, didn't ask us for refills and it took her over 35 minutes to get our dessert she kept forgetting about even when we asked about it multiple times, in the end we got it to go. Not sure if this is her first waitressing job or if she's just overwhelmed, I do see and recognize the constant short staffing but there should be better customer service skills and attitude checking especially considering the wait times, the forgotten food, the not getting refills, the wrong billing, etc. The customers are important. I've been a restaurant wait staff and a manager I totally get it and get being short staffed, having a hard day, etc and allow for a certain grace at restaurants I also get customer service and the repeated rudeness is unacceptable. The only one doing good customer service there is Country, we saw him continuously running around and helping out. It's a shame to have such a rude wait staff and wait times especially when this is our favorite place in town for steaks. Thanks again Country...

UPDATE So as you can read on my older review below, we loved this place! But sadly I felt the need to UPDATE it..... we went from eating here weekly with the family to not going in for about last 3 months because last time we did both my daughter and I got "food poisoning" (the 2 of us ate the same thing, RIBS one of my favorite there and then both instantly started projectile vomiting a couple hours later within minutes of each other for about 8 hrs). Tried to call them to just give them a heads up and basically had to force them to take my # if any questions and just got blown off.... fast forward to today, finally decided to give them another try because it's St Patty's Day and they usually have great specials so I called to see if they are and instantly was asked to hold (no biggy, they're working!) They just set the phone down and I could hear everything in the background and basically for almost a solid 10 minutes I was just left there as they BS'ed with customers and other workers instead of picking the phone back up so I could ask my 5 second question... I'm sure I'll give them a chance again in the future because at this point I've his had more good experiences then bad with them but it might be a bit... and when I do and If it's different then I'll update my reviews and stars! (BUT all this aside they still have some of the best steaks in town so might be worth your time to chance the good OR bad experience!)

This place has fast become one of our favorite places local! GREAT food (the steaks are huge and done right and quality meat).... always have good daily specials, and even does breakfast all day which makes the kid happy.... staffs always friendly too which is a added bonus... 2 favorite things are the PRIME (which is thurs-Sat) and there ribs! I've taken multiple out of town friends here and now when they come back to visit it's usually there "let's go!" request.... a bit "hole in the wall" feeling (which I personally like), literally my ONLY complaint is some of the "regulars" (which I guess we're also becoming... haha) that are there for the bar (which makes awesome drinks too BTW), pool and/or lottery machines (which again I'm not knocking and play sometimes too!) tend to have a "THIS IS OUR PLACE" rude attitudes which gets a little annoying since we're always there with our child too but again it's so worth it and we'll keep going often!...

I've been to this place several times and it's gone down hill. I don't know what happened but this last Saturday night I got scammed with worse than poor service and mediocre food.

Food: steak overdone for medium rare order, mashed potatoes came with no gravy Service: hold onto your panties cause this is a long one...we seated ourselves in a booth because nobody greeted us. We had to go up to the bar multiple times for drinks, to ask for menus and to correct and clarify orders. POS issues notwithstanding, they pre-authorized my card for a sit down dinner at the time of ordering. Her excuse is she is the only one there and it's easier to keep track of. Not sure what she meant because there was another bartender/server there. They said their system lost the order so they took it down on paper. We waited 20 minutes, which is fair. The server then comes up to us and starts to ask about what we ordered as if she didn't write it down on paper and put it into the system. I asked if she put in our order yet and she immediately started giving me attitude. She said it was all done, okay then where is it? She brings it. She doesn't bring the salad. I say where is the salad. She proceeds to make excuses that she can't carry three plates even though we all know that she never made the salad in the first place. She brings the salad. I say where's the gravy. She brings the gravy. What a shitshow. We eat. Another server comes over and checks on us, we get a box. The original server sees we are getting up to come try and cash out and she asks are we ready. I said yes. This was a stupid move on my part because I should've said no, where is my itemized bill. She charged me without providing me an itemized bill. When I asked for the itemized bill it had a dinner order on there with items we did not order with an overcharge of $7, which was different than menu price, and an appetizer which we didn't order that was the same price as the one we ordered. When we tried to correct the issue, they offered to take off the $4 drink. This person apparently couldn't reverse a charge, or do math, or be polite, or get orders right. She tried to offer my man MONEY FROM THE TIP JAR. I will never go back with service like this. My meal and my night was pretty much ruined because of this service. Atmosphere: It was dead on a Saturday. Karoeke...
