My friends and I stop here for a bite to eat. We chose the bar to sit at. While sitting and ordering my food, it appeared the waitress was more interested in the gentleman at the end of the bar. I order a coffee to begin with and express to the waitress I use a lot of creamers. I request an abundance so she won't have to make a lot of trips. I get a bowl with 9 creamers and state that won't be enough, maybe for one, as I use 7... the so-called gentleman at the end of the bar decides he needs to take 3 out of my bowl. What?! Why are you reaching into my bowl for creamer when you don't even have coffee? Waitress giggles and informs him she would've gotten him some had he asked...Ok, noted.
Then, I order my food. When it comes, I don't see much gravy on my meal and bring it to the waitress's attention; only to be told, "I see some on there, did you want me to get you extra?" I chose not to argue about what she "sees" and instead just state extra will be fine. The so-called gentleman at the end of the bar decides he too now needs extra gravy...for what you ask? Not for anything he ordered. So, the two extra gravy dishes come out with mine considerably smaller than his. Fine. I will never go back to this place because of her. Not the guy because they'll be...interesting at times...but her, because she was amused and accommodating to his ignorance.
My coffee sat empty for quite a time while she assisted the so-called gentleman at the end, when she finally noticed and filled it I had no creamer left, my empty creamer bowl was sitting right next to my empty coffee cup with no changes and no refill on creamer as promised, no suggestion that any will be added to the empty bowl, no indication that my need for creamer would be addressed as she was too busy with someone else. The one that took my creamer from my bowl in the first place...sigh.
Needless to say, I'll never return. First impressions are everything, and this one...
Read moreWent to Dennys ordered an Original grand slam and a waffle slam, went to my hotel next door, realized the waffle wasn't cooked enough for me' (notice I said it wasn't cooked enough "for me") so I went back explaining my situation to the waitress, the cook was sitting in the dining area so he heard everything, so after I asked for pancakes instead of the waffle, the waitress looked over at the cook, as to say; please will you make this for me (nevertheless his was kind of ticked cause he had to cook) I mean it's Sunday 9am on the 6th of December, nobody is in the restaurant, but me 1 waitress and 1 cook, I'm thinking this guy has a easy day. While he's cooking my 2 pancakes, I hear him coughing while he cooks my food, so I look towards the kitchen, and he's wearing no gloves.....now me being a cook myself at a major restaurant chain, sometimes I like to eat at other places to see what everyone doing. When my cakes were done I asked the waitress, "do the cooks get temperature checked went coming to work? She said yes, I explained I was a cook , and the fact that where I work at all cooks wear gloves when they cook or handle food, and that when you cough you leave the cookline and WASH YOUR HANDS ....I told her that me being a cook myself made me feel that he coughed on my food on purpose cuz he was mad he had to do it over....and I told her she could have the food back, and have a nice day.....don't eat here Sunday mornings, because if something not right, the cooks might cough on your food, besides dude don't even wear gloves or even wash his hands, and I watched him, it amazing how much you see when nobody's noticing what's going on.....because...
Read moreMy mother and I each ordered omlettes. I was about half done with mine, when I noticed a hair sticking out the side of mine, and embedded across the top. My mother had become sickened after seeing my hairy omlette, and was unable to continue eating her breakfast. I took a couple pictures of the hair in my omlette, then motioned for a waitress to come by and take a look. She summoned the manager, Mr. Chris Johnson. He looked closely at my omlette, then said "I'm so sorry about that. I'm gonna give you a 20% discount on your omlette." I told him that I didn't think I should pay anything for our entire breakfast, and he said "Well, you ate most of your meal, so you should pay for most of your meal." Before I could respond, he quickly took my plate behind the counter, where two waitresses, a cook and himself discussed my omlette. A few minutes later, he returned to our table with the bill. He said "I've removed your omlette from the bill." I again told him that I felt that I shouldn't have to pay anything for our breakfast. He said "Well, I'm not authorized to do that." I asked him for his name at that point, and my mother and I paid our...
