We first came to this place in 2023 when we stayed at a hotel nearby and wanted some Asian food for dinner. Ordered some Shanghai pan fried pork buns, steamed buns (Xiao long bao), and beef soup noodles. I was surprised how good the food was!! The bottom of the pork buns could have been cooked a bit more crispier. But the meat inside the bun was moist and juicy. The xiao long bao was tasty, too. I like that it has very thin wrap and full of meat juice inside. The beef brisket noodles was probably my favorite. The broth was amazing! The beef brisket was cooked perfectly and very tender. And the noodles had the texture only fresh hand made noodles could have. I saw a guy making fresh noodles so I assumed that’s what I had in my beef noodle soup. Overall my family and I all really enjoyed the food there. Unlike waiters/waitresses at other Chinese restaurants that I went to, the employee (a lady) who greeted us and served our table was super nice and helpful! Since then this becomes our must go restaurant every time we drive thru this town.
Recently we went again (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and discovered a new dish that we really liked! It’s the boiled fish with pickled mustard and chili, served with 2 scoops of rice. It’s a bit pricier at $18, but it tasted so good that I felt it was worth it. They topped the soup with good amount of chopped garlic and red chili pepper flakes and that added excellent flavor to the soup. The combination of the pickled mustard and the fish is simply amazing. I don’t know if this is a popular dish at the restaurant, but I highly...
Read moreI came here for social anxiety exposure therapy and had a great experience. The staff is soft spoken and friendly, the waiter let me know the small dish on the table was used for dipping sauces and I didn't even have to ask. I got the pork dumplings pan fried and dipped them in the vinegar they have out on the table, they came piping hot and fresh. The dumpling dough has a perfectly chewy texture and the filling was absolutely delicious. I do recommend dipping this in the vinegar, theyre delicious as-is but it adds a nice layer. The dumplings are also sprinkled with black sesame seeds, which was sooo good. The pan fry added a nice crisp to the bottom of the dumplings. They also have wooden chopsticks available at the table and bring a fork with your food. I love wooden chopsticks because the metal ones are often too slippery especially if my hands are shaky. All in all, I will be coming back here with friends! Good price, good service, amazing meal...
Read moreOur party of four enjoyed lunch at the establishment. The restaurant presented a modern and appealing aesthetic. Observing the chefs prepare fresh dumplings in the open kitchen was a highlight.
My assessment of the dumplings is slightly lower than anticipated due to my personal preference; I would rate them 3.5 stars.
The spicy curry over rice lacked discernible curry flavor, despite its appropriate coloring. Furthermore, it lacked the promised spiciness; a 3-star rating is generous.
The stewed beef noodle dish fell short of expectations. The beef lacked authentic Cantonese flavor and exhibited inconsistent tenderness. The white noodles were overly soft. This dish receives a 3-star rating.
The pan-fried curry beef bao was our favorite item, boasting excellent curry beef flavor. I would give it a 5 stars rating. This dish would be my choice should we return.
In short, I would give this restaurant a 3...
