It is inconceivable one can travel more than two miles in NJ and not stumble upon a DD
This particular store, located on the borders of Springfield and Millburn, is the flagship store within five miles, which contains perhaps twenty store choices.
For the following reasons :
It has the largest eating area, about a 600 s.f. area, separate from the ordering area.
It is spotlessly clean
The owner treats his workers humanely, resulting in an amiable and attentive staff. Often the customers and staff are on a first-name basis
The CS is as good overnight as it is during the day. I have worked graveyard shifts; it is not easy keeping one's enthusiasm up all night
I am very grateful for this DD, and travel five miles to get to it, bypassing closer locations for the reasons noted above. I have made extensive use of their free WiFi and try to reciprocate by contributing to their tip jar.
I hope my comments will alert others to this unique and exceptional franchise location, and that others will support it.
Final note: it's also a favorite stopping point for the police departments in all the surrounding jurisdictions.
P.s. because the entrance is perpendicular to the street, it is easy to miss. Approaching west, if you see STS tire, The Paper Pedlar or ShopRite, you passed it! When you see...
Read moreThe customer service is usually amazing in this store . Unfortunately today I had a terrible experience with Mike. I just got out of overlook hospital for 10 hours and I was so happy to finally be able to eat being that I am 8 monthâs pregnant.. I simply asked for a frozen cappuccino and I admit to mistakenly ordering the wrong drink. So I got back on line .. and told the Mike I would like to pay the difference for a frozen cappuccino blast .. he tells me next time order the right drink because now the drink you ordered wrong is waste and I have a line âcome onâ I apologized again because it was indeed my mistake . But if thatâs not the drink I wanted .. I donât want it. I wasnât asking for the drink for free and I didnât want any trouble. Then I asked to use the bathroom in the mean time while I waited for my order he said no itâs not working please I have a line . Itâs not what you say itâs how you say it. And I felt so down played . Iâm not problematic. I have worked at Dunkin before so I understand when your under pressure when itâs a rush .. but the attitude wasnât called for. Iâm so...
Read moreUpon entering the store, there was a female staff member at the Baskin rabins section, and she asked to wait. About 5 minutes later, I ordered to her for two cups of ice cream with waffles, and she said, "Let's make it the first one." Then, I pointed the chocolate covered waffle with almonds on, and she suddenly put a scoop of ice cream, indicated to the cone. So I said I told you 2 cups, and this one would be the second cup, not a cone. And she said you pointed the cone. I said I already told you first for two cups, and I just pointed the different waffle from the first one. Suddenly, she complaint of my accent and can not understand my accent. I said you don't have to be rude to the customer, and she said, "I try not to." Even another staff man at the other side, asked the female staff as "you ok"??? He supposed to ask me if everything's ok??? Well, I just wanted to have some ice cream for my kids, and this is the worst experience at any dunkin store in my life! I hope both staff would have proper training or at least having a normal...
