Felix’s on Liberty st. in Springfield Ma is everything you could hope for in a city restaurant. It has an old school charm to the building and the signage is bright and clear. Their menu is long so unless you know exactly what you want ahead of time you might want to sit down and just take it all in. Most restaurants serve one niche breakfast, lunch or dinner. This one does it all and all till 4pm. The amount of food that this place is prepared to make is staggering. Pastries and breakfast burgers, sandwiches, Spanish meals and a few vegetarian options too. Catering , dine in or take out. Really something for everybody here.
My sons and I narrowed down our order to a quarter ponder cheese burger with a side of fries. The waitress made it special which was nice, saved us a few bucks. Then my little guy got a fish n chips with cole slaw and we decided to go half and half surf and turf and share. My eldest got a meatball grinder with onions and cheese.
The fish n chips plate was wonderful with a thin battering that was crisp and the fish was perfect inside. Like white little clouds of juicy fish very flavorful. The tartar was sweet and more of a gherkin base with lemon that brightened the fish. The slaw was delightfully different from my own, it was tangy and sweet with a bit of a bite to it that must be fantastic on their Turkey Reuben specialty sandwich.
The burger was juicy and cooked just right, the veggies were fresh and appealing in color and taste. The cheese was sliced thick and was melty. My son said it was the best burger he ever had. The fries were thin and perfectly crunchy to the last bite.
My eldest ordered the meatball sub , it was so good he was quiet the entire time eating. The meatballs were herby, big and delicious. The sauce was a classic marinara but thicker and it did not drown the bread even the portion we brought home. The addition of sauteed onions and shredded cheese put it over the top.
The service was friendly and professional. We really were impressed by this little restaurant we had walked by to many times before. Glad we stopped in today....

Our waitress Annabel was very hospitable. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered two big breakfast and every plate came with 2 eggs, a choice of bacon or sausage and each dish was served with pancakes. My party and I ordered some tea, our teas arrived with lemon on the side and honey.
Overall the experience was wonderful, the food was fresh, the pancakes were fluffy and had really quality ingredients, every bite was delicious and the portions were generous. The owner allowed us to try the chocolate pancake...AMAZING food

Read moreWent in Person, Waited over an Hour and had to ask what was going on? A family came in 20 Minutes after us and they got served before we even had our drinks, I asked what was the reason, He himself stated that other food was easier to cook than taking mines in the appropriate order. Very VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, HE NEVER ONCE WASHED HIS HANDS AND DELT WITH ALL KINDS OF FOODS. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU NOT TO COME HERE AS THIS PLACE WILL HAVE YOU WAITING FOR AN HOUR TO THEN JUST TELL YOU YOU TO LEAVE IF YOU DONT LIKE IT. I DID! AND I ALSO CALLED IN 10 MINUTES LATER AND GAVE THEM A NICE ORDER THAT THEY WILL BE FOREVER WAITING ON THE CUSTOMER TO PICK UP. TREAT OTHERS AS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED...WALKED IN AT 12:30...WALKED OUT AT 1:35 STILL WITH NO FOOD. This place sucks, You All have...
