Hot Head Burritos — Restaurant in Springfield

First off, ABSOLUTELY love Hothead and there sauce options!!! We were eating here alot but that's gonna stop. This hothead in particular, the staff is pleasant for the most part, I just think they don't know how to cook the rice and I noticed when they bring a new rice bucket in they scrape the old into it. I think 1, or both of those reasons are for our bad experience's we have been having lately.The brown or white rice is always undercooked, hard (which could be from them scraping out the old container into the new) tasteless, lime flavor on the white rice missing 75% of the time ect. For a family of four to eat and it's somewhere around 40to50 bucks that's unacceptable. Rice is 1 of the main ingredients and the staff needs to be well versed in preparing it. Eating undercooked rice isn't good for you! If this happened once here and there, I'd get it, but in the past 2 months we've ate here 5or6 times and it seems to be getting worse, so bad that today we finally took it back (just brown rice bowls today) kids white rice seemed fine. The food here is always great and my rate would be higher if it weren’t for this experience; however, I am disappointed in my experience at Hotheads tonight. While waiting in line, I saw a sticker on the glass in front of the food stating to text “HHBOH38” to 51660 in order to receive half off a regular priced burrito or bowl. Of course I took that opportunity and texted the number. I received a text back stating to show the text to the cashier to receive a bowl or burrito for $3. Well, I get to the cashier and show her the text and she is confused and proceeds to tell me she doesn’t know what that is and they can’t do that. She went to the back and talked to another worker, came back and said the same thing. I asked to speak to a manager, and a lady some out and told me they do not know why the sign is there, but they do not have a button to honor the text. I came in on 2/624 and ordered two Bowls and two bags of chips. I got it to go, and when I got home, I started to mix up my bowl and found a hair in my food. I returned everything I ordered uneaten and was told they don't do refunds. So they offered to remake my food. I told them I was good for the night. They told me I could come back and get it remade when I wad ready. They wrote on my recept "Remake" and also the managers name at the time of shift. I came back in 2/23/24 to get my food remade and was told that they couldn't accept my recept that I had because it was over a "Month" since I was last there. It was only 17 days and wasn't over a month. The manager was very rude about it and her math was way off. I will never be back. I'm out $23.XX and still no food. If I could give them negative 5 starts I would. This is not how you run a business and hope they treat people better than they did me. So if your order ever gets messed up I hope it goes better for...
