If you enjoy long waits and the excitement of wondering whether or not you will get a horrible stomach ache, this is the place for you! We had 5 adults, 2 kids and 2 babies and arrived at 10:50am, we were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait, which was fine. 45 minutes later after they had called over a dozen groups that came in after us including a party of 8 I asked how much longer it would be as we did have several hungry kids and a 90 year old diabetic in our group! They said they'd clear something for us and took us immediately to the back room area. Took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come take our drink order, but she was friendly and brought them back out quickly then took our food order. The food came out 30 minutes later at 12:20 (1.5 hours after we arrived.) Had to ask for several items they forgot in our order, and 3 of us sat with empty drinks most of our meal...but to be fair, the waitress did seem to have a large # of tables she was working. I ordered a cheese and avocado omelet, and birthday cake pancakes, wasn't impressed with either. Several hours later my daughter, sister in law and me all got ill to our stomachs. (None of us had eaten anything else besides our brunch meal and had felt fine beforehand.) The only thing the 3 of us had in common that nobody else had was the birthday cake pancakes, so I do not recommend those. Our last 2 visits to this Ihop the last few months were very similar in nature so probably will not go back for a good while.

We ended up at IHOP for breakfast because of their great marketing. My son and I had both seen the commercials for their pancake tacos and were intrigued. Upon entering the establishment we were greeted not by a person, but rather a funky smell. We decided to stay and order breakfast anyway. My son ordered the savory chicken and gravy tacos but I went with my old standby of chocolate chip pancakes. While we waited for our food we got to enjoy the ridiculously loud cartoons being played by a girl behind us on her tablet. It was loud enough that other customers would look in our direction to roll their eyes at the noise level. It would have been nice if someone in management would have noticed and asked them to turn it down. Once the food arrived, everything was good with the exception of the hashbrowns. Both of us had ordered them and they were slightly burnt. I will give a thumbs up to their fruit side - good variety of fruits and very fresh. Another plus - they do have sugar free syrup if you request it.

The server had no personality. I ordered dry toast, no butter. He brought toast out and said they put a little butter on it, I told them not to. If the customer says no butter that does not mean light butter. I asked for over hard eggs, told him I really really extra hard eggs. they came out folded. that is a bad sign. I opened it and the whites were not cooked all the way and there were yolks not all the way cooked, then the hash browns were burned. I told him to take the plate and refund my money because I would not eat it. That is why they got two stars. My son ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and no tomato. when he got it there was a tomato slice but no bacon. plus there was sappy christian music playing. Very few people like christian music, even christians. just play Mozart, whatever. I will never go back to this IHOP. The one on Kansas Expressway is good.

Came for breakfast on a Sunday about10:45 - lobby was packed with people waiting and hostess was stating there was at least a 30 min wait. We looked into dinning area and saw many tables and booths uncleanness as well as many tables and booths cleaned and unoccupied. We asked the hostess about our observations and why few if any were being seated, and her reply was she could not seat people UNTIL the kitchen cooks could catch up; and tables were not cleaned because there were no bussing people - only the servers. The hostess was slovenly dressed, extremely overweight, a poor communicator, and quite "short" in her comments to customers. She was just standing around at the podium making no effort to clean some nearby tables to help servers and get people seated. The restaurant had an unclean odor and the furnishings were in need of repair and/or replacement...every aspect of the restaurant was worn and unkempt. We were seated after a 45 min wait; and walking out after long wait would mean going to another restaurant and another wait. Our server was able to get to our booth in about 10 min, was polite and friendly, apologizing for the delays we'd experienced - stating they were extremely short staffed - which was often the case. Our food came in about 20 min; server apologized. Food was hot and good. We've eat at many IHOPS around the country and never have such a bad experience service wise and restaurant in such poor condition. The franchisee of this store needs to be fired and removed - and new QUALIED ownership put in place. Staff problems are a result of poor pay, benefits, and working environment. IHOP has a good product and making sure it's delivery is very good is critical. We read the many complaints - after our visit - and they are all about poor service and restaurant condition. Quit asking complaining reviewers to contact the franchisee - since the owner obviously has made no improvements despite the many complaints over the years.

Get new ownership, refurbish the store, establish a reliable adequate staff, and fully commit to delivering the great IHOP products.

Discontinue the ridiculous 24 hr operation - which undermines the overall restaurant day to day operation. Springfield is NOT a Las Vegas, Reno, Miami, New York, or a freeway truck stop. We will not return to the...

This place needs some attention! My family was in town for family weekend for college and back home we eat at our local IHOP quite often, So IHOP's not a new experience for us this is actually our second visit to this one but the last time that we visited was about 3:30 in the morning and didn't have no issues with our service or our food that changed this time everybody in my group their food was cold the eggs were refrigerator cold the gravy was refrigerated cold the bacon was supposed to be extra crispy nobody got extra crispy bacon we had to talk to the manager to get some extra crispy bacon and after he left we went on to try the rest of our food that's when we found out that everything was cold most of the food was left there on the table. The manager said that he would take care of the bill that was a plus since we didn't really eat anything there and we left from there and end up going eating somewhere else our server was beyond slow we set there for over 10 or 15 minutes patiently and here comes the manager and says that he will take our order for our drinks since our waiter hadn't been there yet. There was another additional 10 or 15 minutes after that before we ever even got to place our order with our server who had difficulties knowing what could be and what couldn't be done with orders and a language barrier that I think was creating some issue which should probably be addressed with people taking orders. And another thing that really needs to be addressed is hygiene with the employees this lady's body odor was to the point that it would make you want to lose whatever your stomach may have been holding this is absolutely horrible when somebody is trying to eat! And on the down time since we had so much time to set there I noticed that looking around it wouldn't hurt for somebody to grab a rag soap and water and start wiping down walls and cleaning the place up a bit. I really hope that these issues will be addressed as to my kid will be going to college for 7 years there and she enjoys IHOP too it was actually her that was wanting to go but her entire meal was messed up also I think we need to step up on the manager positions and make sure that people are under the correct management that will actually enforce rules and...

The wait was about 30 minutes about the shortest wait time around, considering that it's hard to find "Help To Work"!!! I got the 6 pieces of French Toast w/Strawberries & Bananas (which I asked for on the side) which included Whipped Cream YUM! And for extra Powdered Sugar & It was SO Amazing! I usually get the regular 6 pieces of French Toast with Extra Powdered Sugar. I thought that was Amazing until I Tried the above mentioned French Toast w/Strawberries, Now I have a NEW Favorite French Toast!!! It Is Absolutely Amazing!!! I wish that I would have thought to take a picture of it, but I didn't! 8-( UPDATE- August 2022, I went back to get my "New favorite French Toast" & I was a bit bugged by what the waitress brought to me... There was a Very Small bowl holding both the strawberries & bananas in it. I told the waitress "that the amount was Very Small compared to what I had received the last 2 times that I had been there. I told her the amount of fruit that came with it, the 1st & 2nd time that I ordered it was a LOT More than what she had brought to me". I wouldn't have minded if the price was the same, but it wasn't! She began to tell me "No, this is the same amount that we have been giving with this". I know that she is a newer waitress, I hadn't seen her before. My Husband told me "we can just order some extra strawberries honey". So we asked the waitress "if we could get some more strawberries" & she said "That will cost $2.? Extra", like we expected to get something for free! My Husband said "that's fine, we would like it". We realize that there are New People working everywhere, but if she hadn't have been there for long, then she should Not have said that to me! That upset me when she acted like she had been there for a long time, and that I was lying when I said that it was usually More than what she had brought out! They used to send Each One in their own small bowl, not both IN THE SAME BOWL... that makes a Big difference! That won't stop me from going there to get my "New Favorite French Toast"!!! I just may ask them to put them in their own separate bowls! My Husband can't stand bananas, I know...
