Our Friday evening happy hour group of 6 met at RR last night. We were seated quickly, and Andy our server introduced himself to us fairly quickly and introduced us to a young lady he was training. Our entire group had not arrived yet. When the rest of our group arrived, one of our friends who happens to be a true liquor connoisseur ordered a specific martini and at first we were told they couldn't make it. I asked our server if the bartender could possibly step over to our table as the bar was fully stocked so there shouldn't have been a reason to turn away any drink request. Our server came back to our table and told us that the bartender was going to make the martini. When our server brought the martini over, our friend tasted and said OMG- tons of olive oil and ice. At first we really wanted to speak with the MOD, but our friend said never mind, and he just went with a cold beer since the martini tasted horrible. Please understand, our group is a very loyal Friday happy hour group and we had been going to a local area restaurant for a very long time till they recently closed there doors. We had tried multiple restaurants over the past few months, finding multiple thoughts with many of them. Last night at Red Robin we were very pleased with the appetizer and food selections, as well as the pricing for happy hour. This past week has been spring break for the market and the place was really packed. Our server was also training someone new and we obviously take that into account. We will be back next Friday night, because we really enjoyed the food and we hope to encounter a little bit better service this next time. Hopefully they'll be a bartender on duty that can help our friend with his specialty drinks. Money is not an object for whatever the pricing is, it is the quality of the drink that counts! In the end, Andy, our server did make the bill right making adjustments for the not so great drinks and the items that weren't correctly posted for happy hour specials. See you all next...
Read moreVery poor service was we had a gift certificate. I never complain but if we had actually been forking over that much money... I might have gone full Karen on that place. (I have never asked for a manager in the past by the way, I worked in restaurants or a LONG time.) Couple of things... We asked for drinks and didn't see anyone for 15 minutes after. We ordered a queso dip to go with our appetizers. We didn't receive that until we had already finished our appetizers, which weren't great. Wouldn't have mattered either way because it was so cold. They brought out my salad AND the food at the same time. They neglect to clear the appetizer plates that we had stacked in the middle of the table for them. At this point my drink is completely gone. I motion to the waiter by holding it and giving him a nod. He puts one finger up and says. I'll be right back to check on you all. That was the last time we saw him until he brought the book to us. (Only after we wandered the restaurant looking for someone and another employee who told our "server") I was never given silverware or a napkin. This made the task of eating my ridiculously priced salad impossible. Can't eat with you hands, don't have a napkin. Again my husband got up from our dinner I in search of an employee. We found someone who said she would look for silverware but they are totally out. I asked if they could just take the salad off... No. There was so much more... But I'm tried of remembering it. The food is eh... It's burgers and fries and hard to mess up.(although they did put what seemed to be old lettuce that had been left to cure in the heat on my black and blue burget. (Which should have lettuce. I don't think that's something one would need to clarify...IMO. They need to do a better job with their customer service, or lower...
Read moreUnfortunately we walked into Red Robin tonight as it is one of our favorite places. As sons as we walked in we were met with very hostile attitude from the lady at the front trying to seat us. I believe her name was Vi? She had a black bow in her hair, she didn’t know where to seat and was walking back and forth across the restaurant saying “well I was going to put you there but I guess nobody cleans” then looked at us and said can you guys manage sitting right here in the middle of two large parties who had separated a small table. She asked them if it was okay and they said “well I guess” and she rolled her eyes. My husband and I were packed into the table and told her is it okay if we sit somewhere else (the table was also extremely dirty) and she said well you guys should have said something before I say you, now you need to come back up to the front. After she got some help from the other lady she sat us at a booth. We ended up ordering our food and I asked for no lettuce or onion on my order, and got both on mine (which isn’t to big of a deal) except for the fact that my burger was extremely over-cooked, and the fries were very over seasoned compared to the ones we got for an appetizer I could only eat about half my meal. The only good part about our experience was when the manager Melanie came out and notice our waters had been empty for awhile and refilled them, grabbed my husband his shake he had been waiting on for awhile and offered to refill our plate. Overall, the food wasn’t that great like it usually is, the service was...
