King's Chef Kitchen — Restaurant in Springfield

Update: when I asked for my refund it took 30 minutes and the lady with gray hair who refused to tell me her name told me I wouldn't be able to get a refund receipt and to check my account. When I told her that was unacceptable and unprofessional and I'd like the name of the person who just took down my card information she tells me it's none of my business and slams the drive thru door in my face. So I had to go inside and get on the phone with the owner who confirmed on the phone that their food is NOT fresh, its kept in coolers and then MICROWAVED before giving it to people. I am DISGUSTED and I am OUTRAGED and I had better get my money back.

They literally served us a hot crunch roll and it made me sick. I thought it was a fluke because of the doordashers hot bag but no I come through the drive through and they hand us 2 hot as hell California rolls. The restaurant is in an old tiny building that had a lot of glass windows, which allowed it to be very cold inside. It took longer than expected for our food to arrive but if they were cooking it fresh then that would be expected, especially if they were preparing other orders. I had the wonton soup that was very tasty with large pieces of broccoli that really added substance. My husband had the Hot and Sour soup and it wasn’t as good. It looked and tasted like egg drop with just some added chili peppers. It did not have the expected tofu, mushrooms, and other vegetables one normally expects . The Egg-rolls were better than most in town as they were moist, but still not freshly made on site. The fried dumplings were good. First and foremost the food is decent at best I would compare it to mall Chinese. Prices reflect that as well I ordered the general chicken entree 7.99 pull up to the window they tell me my total is 9.55 which is higher than what tax would be on the original price, upon receiving my receipt noticed they had charged $.085 for all white meat which I did not request and upon eating realized I also did not receive.
