We live in Waynesville and wanted a good seafood dinner what we go was appalling. First the server staff was super pushy as we were seated we were not given a moment to even look over the menu and expected to make a decision on what we wanted to drink. As we would have normally ordered drinks from the bar after we were able to make our choices on what we wanted so we just settled with soft drinks. Moments later we were asked if we wanted appetizers and my wife ordered the tiger shrimp cocktail and the server also the bartender Jordan R went to walk away after calling her back we finished ordering our appetizers 2 shrimp cocktails and cheese sticks. When they arrived the chilly dipping sauce was frozen and had to be defrosted before they could scoop it and serve it so we could not try this “NEW” sauce. We ordered our food and when the salads came out we began to eat until my wife noticed the black slippery molded lettuce in her bowl. Upon calling the server over she began to giggle and say that oops I’m sorry took both salads and left the table a few minutes later the manager came over and started arguing with myself and my wife saying she checked the salads and none of them had mold in them and blamed it on the blue cheese dressing. Trying to move forward with our evening out we awaited our dinner once it arrived the food quality was poor the lobsters we ordered seemed old the shells of the main lobster where completely black the meat was like rubber and just bland The sea scallops looked and felt like over cooked chicken. My sons broccoli had this brownish milky substance at the bottom of the bowl. When we asked the server about it and how and what was in it she was unable to say and replied by saying I can go get the “book” and read it to you. We asked for the bill and waited 20 minutes for it to come. And this server had the nerve to ask us how our experience was. And then try to make it better my saying “they removed the salads.” Like that make this horrible disgusting experience better. We paid the $197 bill and wen to leave. My wife being a server expressed her dissatisfaction with the server and the server said “ well I would have been happy with the service you got” and laughed and walked away. In the current situation that your franchise is in this is no way to treat your customers and certainly no way to stay in business. I believe that both your server and the manager should be grateful they currently have jobs and should try and make every effort to make all patrons happy and want to support your company to stay in business. This was appalling and we certainly will not...
Read moreMy review is based on the whole Restraunt experience and not just our Server. When entering we were seated at a reasonable time frame and our server Blake came over to use fairly quickly. After that it went downhill. Our server never asked us if we wanted appetizers and was in a hurry to take our order even after we said we needed time to look at the menu. He never brought us plates to put our biscuits on. The restaurant was in need of deep cleaning which leads to our next problem. Blake brought our food out and just walked off to get drink refills when my husband's back started getting wet. The AC vent was leaking right on him and it got so bad that before the server came back we had to move the table so our food wouldn't get wet and my husband would stop getting soaked. The server's response was shocking when he said oh is the ceiling leaking again. He didn't ask if we wanted to move or ask if our food was fine. He did tell the manager who just walked by looked up shrugged his shoulders and walked off. Not once did he say anything to us about it. The server went on about his business and later came to the table and asked if we wanted a box and gave us a to go bag for biscuits with two biscuits in it and said he put them in there because we didn't yell at him over the ceiling leaking like others have. We had a group of 5...lol He then gave us the bill and proceeded to stay at the table and ask if we were paying cash or card. He didn't leave until we gave him the card. I understand that some things are out of control of employees but as a server he made some minor mistakes but as a server he should have told his manager that he wouldn't set customers at a table that he knew the ceiling would leak on them. As for the manager it is your job to make sure that your restaurant is clean and if there is maintenance issues you need to get them addressed. As far as the food the only thing fit to eat was the biscuits but I don't think that is on the staff I believe it's on whoever they are getting their food from(supplier). It reminded me of eating at Long John Silvers instead of Red Lobster. The picture is of the ceiling above our table which the phone actually makes it look better than it does. I didn't think to take a picture of our food or the chair that was catching the watering from...
Read moreRed Lobster has always been my favorite "treat" restaurant. I'm not sure I'll ever go back. We were assaulted with the smell of old burnt oil going in the door. It was early, right at 5:00 p.m., so we were seated right away but the waiter didn't show up for about 10 minutes. We figured maybe the dinner staff wasn't on yet and shrugged it off. When our waters came out mine had a blob of butter on the rim. I'm not sure how they couldn't see it but I just wiped it off and let it go. My husband's silverware was dirty. I ordered my favorite, the Admiral's feast. The price has gone up terribly and I was a little sticker-shocked. When I placed the order I asked for extra tartar sauce. The food took a while and of course, they didn't bring any sauce so I asked the girl who brought plates out to get some. She never showed back up. The clams & fish were so overcooked you literally couldn't bite them. The potato was about the size of a tangerine. I'm not sure what they're calling scallops but they were little perfectly round marble-sized pieces of breading around a rubbery unidentifiable bite of something. Definitely frozen food service pack, but not like Red Lobster usually serves. I've never sent food back but I finally flagged down our waiter, then he brought his manager. He also acknowledged that he'd forgotten my sauce. Manager brought out replacements--which were also over-cooked and still no sauce. My husband ordered the Endless Shrimp which was a joke. It's only endless if you get to order refills. Price has gone up on it too and they only include one side instead of two like they used to. After we'd been there roughly an hour he finally got to order refills. I never got my sauce but at that point I didn't want to eat anyway. Our $65 dinner ended up being dog food--the only bright spot of the evening, evidently my dogs aren't picky about seafood. I don't think the place has been remodeled since the 80's. We could look past the scarred tables and dirty fixtures, and maybe our waiter was new and didn't know how to handle a few tables (he was very personable though), but I expect halfway decent food at that price point. It didn't even come close, I kind of wish we'd have gone to McD's for a...
