The service was non-existent, the waitress that did finally show up, never identified herself! The guy who gave us our drinks was the one we ended up giving our order to; and when this waitress gave us our food...she never so much as said a word to acknowledge us simply set our meal down. The order did not have everything we ordered but still she never said a word! We had to ask where the missing food was? Then and only then, did she tell us they were out of biscuits and rolls already in the middle of the day! Only then did she offer us Texas toast...are you kidding, with Turkey and dressing? When I said no, and she started walking away; I had to ask how they would make it right? She then said she would have to ask the manager of this joint - who several minutes later came over and offered a piece of pie (I presumed an extra piece) since pie was already included in our meals. I said I would take the pie and when I got my ticket (and this is what is most appalling) they separately ticketed the pie they offered me (the pie that was already included in my meal) at full price and then turned around and deducted the full amount as if they had suffered a loss of $4.00 for a pie I had already had bought with my meal. A pie listed on the menu at $2.89. So since it is Thanksgiving... I would like to thank the U.S. gov. for being so kind to help this racket scratch out a living, after this restaurant suffered this psuedo $3.00 loss! Compliments of the US Gov. & the city - certainly not this...
Read moreWe stopped in for supper tonight both hungry. I ordered the Turkey dinner, it had Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy & cranberries & a biscuit. The Turkey & dressing was really good but the potatoes were awful. They were sour, they tasted like they were made with soured milk or cream. I had LB try a bite to make sure it wasn't just me & he agreed they were bad. We told our waitress but she didn't do anything. When we went to pay out the cashier asked how everything was & I told her all was good except the potatoes & they were soured. She said oh no that isn't right I know they made them fresh tonight they can't be. I said well they were bad. She didn't say I'm so sorry can I make an adjustment. Then she said she would check it out but only after calling me a liar. I believe mistakes happen in kitchens & at check out counters but it's the way you are talked to that really goes down wrong. Will we go back there? Probably not but we will go to the one...
