had high hopes for this steakhouse given its reputation, but it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Let me break it down:
First Impressions: When we walked in, the ambiance was fine, though nothing to write home about. The waitstaff, however, was cold and unwelcoming. We were seated promptly, but that’s where the positive experience ended. Our server barely looked us in the eye and didn’t seem to care much about our order. At one point, we had to wave them down to get refills on drinks. For a place that’s supposed to have “top-tier service,” this was unacceptable.
The Food: Let’s talk about the main attraction: the steak. I ordered a ribeye, which was priced at a jaw-dropping $75, and I was expecting a melt-in-your-mouth experience. What I got was a tough, overcooked, flavorless hunk of meat that looked like it had been sitting on a grill for hours. It was dry and lacked any seasoning—honestly, my local diner makes better steak for a fraction of the price. My companion ordered a filet mignon, and the story was the same: tough, bland, and underwhelming.
The Owner: Now, the real kicker was the owner. This guy clearly thinks he's the king of the culinary world. He walked around the restaurant with an air of superiority, making unnecessary loud comments about his “award-winning menu” and giving unsolicited “advice” to customers. When I had the courage to bring up how disappointing the food was, he responded with a smug “Well, not everyone has the refined palate to appreciate fine dining.” Seriously? For $75, I expect something far more than a chef’s ego trip.
Price vs. Value: This place is absurdly overpriced for what you get. A small steak that’s barely cooked right, bland sides, and service that’s more interested in gossiping behind the bar than taking care of customers? Forget it. For the same price, I could have eaten at a Michelin-starred restaurant with amazing food and service. But here? You’re paying for the name, not the experience.
Conclusion: Don’t waste your time or money at this place. The food is underwhelming, the service is rude, and the owner’s inflated sense of self-worth just makes it all worse. There are far better steakhouses out there that know how to treat their customers and deliver quality for the price. Save your money and avoid this...
Read moreThank you Will for an exceptional meal and dining experience! You are a true gentleman and you made me feel welcomed and accommodated my every request! I was even given a beautiful rose. As a woman I was treated with the utmost respect and made to feel welcome and special! Upon entering the Kobe Club Steakhouse I was in awe of the beautiful decor, the feeling of stepping back into time! Beautiful antiques, and the incredible paintings. My favorite was the first painting as we checked in for our reservation. If you ever part with it, please keep me I mind ! I am a foodie and this by far was an experience that I will never forget. The ambiance attention to detail was beyond first class. A Vintage door handle of blue glass also caught my eye as well as the other exceptional decor that is truly beautiful. A truly magical and one of a kind experience.
The specialty is Wagyu Steak cooked to perfection. Wil raises his cattle and they produce exceptional steaks. If steak is not for you, there are plenty of other options! Will started in this business as a young child. Family traditions and legacy are a lost art these days and Wil is carrying on his families legacy. There is something for everyone. Read moreThis place is a hidden gem! Absolutely amazing atmosphere! Southwest Americana beautifully and elegantly blended with art deco style. The lighting, the finishes, the decor and artwork, the beautiful oak paneling: It’s amazing what they have done with this space, I was blown away by the transformation from previous restaurants at this location. Now the food… the FOOD! Certified A5 Wagu, raised by the owner himself. The care and passion he shows for his craft is inspiring. I am not joking around, I cut my Wagu steak with my fork so easily. Melt in your mouth delicious, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I will be dreaming about this meal until I can have it again. The bread they brought out was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen and the herb butter was to die for. Every bite I had of my entire meal was perfection. The dirty rice and the house made chips are absolutely delicious. I have no idea how they got the chips so light and crispy. Over eating definitely took place here. This place has the total package: beautiful dinning room, incredible wait staff, and the food: chef’s kiss! We had a chance to meet the owner and talk with him and our waiter, the story of this restaurant coming to fruition is so amazing, you can feel the passion this man has for what he’s doing. And our waiter was attentive and the conversation was charming and such a fun and entertaining evening. We got a chance to look at the private dining room and already have plans to return and even have business meetings here. This place is perfect. They have ruined all other steaks for me, and the flounder was by far the best flounder I have ever had. And the desserts (salivating just recalling this meal) we had the berry panna cotta and the apple rose tarts. Delicious doesn’t adequately describe the flavors. No kidding, every bite of everything we had was culinary perfection. Thank you Kobe Club Steakhouse for an amazing evening! We will be back again and again. I wish I had taken pictures of my meal, but I was too busy...
