Been a while since I'd been here, will never go back. For starters, the parking arrangement is horrible if you drive anything larger than a small car. What used to be a kind of BBQ and burger theme has devolved into an over priced very short menu of overpriced items catering to the suburbanite hipster market. 2 turkey clubs and 2 hand pies rang up to $30.02, and since I was placing a to go order I was not permitted to wait inside the restaurant, despite it not being very busy, at approximately 20-30 percent capacity. They told me I could wait in my car or on the patio. Being a warm day, I opted not to sit in my vehicle with the engine running for the air conditioning. They also wouldn't place my order without my phone number. I'm a firm believer that a restaurant does not need my personal information to serve me a sandwich. Waiting on the patio for nearly half an hour, watching numerous other customers stroll in, pick up their orders that they'd called in and leave again, I was finally given my order, only to find out I'd been handed two cheeseburgers. I returned the burgers and opted to just get my money back and leave, so they tried to refund me $23 and change first the price of the burgers. I had to get stern with the cashier that my total was $30, and when they finally provided the correct amount, it was in in small, crumpled bills and a handful of a few dollars worth of coins. I was fed up at this point and left. Having worked in the service industry for so many years, I'm generally a very pleasant person, particularly to wait staff and other services personnel, but today's display of poor customer service was too much to ever allow this place another chance. I'm sure the food is probably pretty good, sure wish I could have...

Hi-Pointe Drive-In isn’t just a place to eat—it’s an experience. From the moment we pulled up and saw the Good Burger car out front, we knew we were in for something fun and different. The vibe inside is like a nostalgic trip through pop culture. The walls are decked out with quirky art, vintage photos, and cool props—everywhere you look, there’s something that catches your eye. And we loved seeing Mr. Burger Boy keeping watch near the front—it adds a playful, retro feel that sets the tone for the whole visit.
The staff were beyond friendly—genuinely some of the best service we’ve had. They greeted us right away, offered great menu recommendations, and even helped me order a secret menu item one of the employees personally recommended (and yes, it was fire). That kind of hospitality makes a huge difference.
As for the food? Absolutely phenomenal. We had the Frisco Melt—melty, rich, and perfectly crisp on that sourdough. The Arch D-Lux and Lunch Lady burgers were stacked, juicy, and full of bold flavors. And the Taco Burger? That one was wild in the best way—crunchy, cheesy, and totally unique. We washed it all down with an Oreo Shake and Confetti Shake—both were thick, creamy, and hit the sweet spot perfectly.
One last awesome touch? Their selection of unique sodas. They’ve got way more than just the usual fountain drinks, including local and craft sodas that you won’t find at your average fast food spot. It’s just another small but standout detail that makes Hi-Pointe so memorable.
Fun atmosphere, amazing food, and a team that truly makes you feel welcome—10/10. This place is a must if you’re...
Read moreVegans will be happy here! Long story short, this place is amazing. So... story time. Last week, my college suitemates and I went to the art museum and then last minute decided to go here afterwards. Let me tell you, it's really hard being a vegan around people that don't follow the same diet. Especially going to a place famous for burgers, I was scared that I would have to sit there and watch them eat. Not the case here. It was a busy hour and the chefs still went out of their way to assist me. Best dining experience in the world. One man named Adam (as far as I remember) was incredible at telling me EVERYTHING - and boy did he know a lot. He knew what gets fried with what. In reality, I wanted a burger because I felt like this place was famous for it and I was craving it. It's amazing to know this is one of the few instances when I've craved an outside dining food option and I've gotten it. So for any vegans out there wondering, this place is perfect. The bun is made with egg or something, so order the gluten-free bun w/ a vegan burger thing. The fries are fried in the same place as the chicken. But that's okay. I thought it was super sweet Adam went out of his way to make me a vegan side and I was super grateful for that, so I'm sure the same will be done for you. But to let you know, a menu item directly vegan is the greens and grains salad. It looks delish. Okay so, overall, outstanding people and service and food and spirit. Wish I could rate it more than...
