Culver’s — Restaurant in St. Charles

If I could give no stars I would because I received no service!

I pulled up to the drive thru, all the lights and signs were on, the mall parking lights were on (which turn off at 10:00 pm), another car was in the drive thru waiting for food, and there were customers inside eating.

The drive thru guy claimed it was 10:01 and they were closed. They had to get "clean the grill and stuff". All I wanted was two scoops of custard on a cone.

Seems more and more Culver's staff make up their own hours, not just here but other locations too. Closing early and/or shutting the dining room when they don't feel like working.

This was a let down, but the location in DeKalb IL is worse! Staff actually locked the dining room door at 7pm as I was walking towards it. Then they wrote a sign in Sharpie saying the dining room was closed and taped it up.

The whole Cheese head chain can go back to Wisconsin, where apparently they don't feel the need to keep to the hours they post on the door.

Where do I start? I used to live in Wisconsin, outside of Madison. This was approximately 20 years ago. My memories of eating at Culver's back then are very positive, so after many years, I decided to try this Culver's. My expectations were I high based on my memories. What a disappointment. Firstly, the older man who took my order inside was cold and robotic. Not very friendly. As I sat waiting for my order to take home, I noticed that all the workers behind the service counter had frowns; no one smiling. The food was nothing compared to the quality I used to get in Wisconsin. The only redeeming feature regarding the food was the cole slaw. Fresh, and delicious. The butterfingers was so salty, I couldn't eat all of it. And the cheese curds were rubbery, and smelled and tasted as though they had been fried in rancid old grease. I'll never go to...

I went through the drive thru during my 30 minute lunch break from work and all I ordered was a double cheeseburger only ketchup. After paying at the window they asked me to pull up to a waiting spot where i proceeded to wait for 10-15 minute for JUST a burger. That’s half my break wasted. And once they did bring my burger out, it wasn’t even hot it was almost cold from probably sitting there and to top it off they didn’t put ANY ketchup on it just cheese.I realized this after I drove off and it was very inconvenient to have to drive all the way back. It makes no sense to park someone for one item and wait that long and still get their order wrong. why call it a fast food...
