Beef Shack — Restaurant in St. Charles

This place was amazing. I came on Saturday for the $1 shakes, and I was blown away on how good the food was. The vanilla shake I got tasted amazing. They give you so many fries! The fries seen in the picture is the mini size! Finally, the Cheezy beef. The beef was very juicy and delicious. What really makes it amazing is the garlic bread it's on. The garlic bread was phenomenal, and every bite was amazing. The sandwich was pretty greasy, but don't let that deter you as this is one of the best beef sandwiches I've ever had. The service was nice too. The person working there was very nice and cooperate. The restaurant is nice, and I came in December, and they had nice Christmas decorations up. I had been driving for HOURS and was cranky and starving so I decided to finally try Beef Shack because I had been wanting to taste the deliciousness that I knew it was. I walked in not only to find a cool and clean environment, there was good music, and friendly-helpful service at the counter by a lovely young man. I was excited to try this place since it is new to the area, but my experience was not good. I waited 20 mins for just a single sandwich, and was charged an extra $1 just to have “sweet peppers” on my sandwich which weren’t good at all and nowhere does it say that’s extra. When I got my sandwich the cheese was melted to the paper wrapping so when I opened it, all of the cheese was on the wrapping and not the sandwich. For a $12 beef sandwich I was definitely expecting more than a sandwich with nasty peppers, cheese stuck to the paper wrapping, and no napkins when I asked for it to go.
