My wife and I ordered our food yesterday ( Friday April 24th ) while the virus had everything closed down and only allowed pickup. When we ordered our food we were told one hour for pickup. We had our three young children in the vehicle with us at the time. We arrived at the one hour mark and the place was absolutely slammed. The owners were more than apologetic for the longer wait times, beyond accommodating. I waited for roughly 20 minutes and continued to get text messages from my wife that the kids were loosing their mind in the car. I spoke with the owner and informed her politely about what was going on and how I realized how busy it was and I completely understood the delay but if it was going to be much linger I would have to leave to go get my kids food to eat because it was after 7:15 and they needed to eat. You could see that she was genuinely upset and felt bad. She rushed into the kitchen and had them get me my food ASAP. We got home and the food was amazing! My kids loved it and everything was ok. Moral of the story is this family owned business was overwhelmed with orders and handled it perfectly. Normally people would be getting upset and mad about the extended wait times but with the genuine emotion and care for people’s time, everyone just relaxed and completely ok with it. Such a passionate family for the quality of food being delivered. We will continue to frequent this business and appreciate the care and passion for great food. Thank you to pomodoro e mozzarella for handling a situation perfectly and delivering such a amazing...
Read moreCame here for the first time based on Jonathan Rosenthals fb post mentions of this place and was very disappointed. Walked in to order in person and it took 5 mins for someone to acknowledge me, I recognized zero effort to decorate the restaurant, the man came out with food in his mouth and was chewing while taking my order. I ordered, his machine printed a receipt and without saying a word he turned around and went away. I stood there for a couple mins not sure if the transaction was complete and eventually walked outside to wait. I ordered a half cheese half pepperoni ny style. After 15 mins wait I walk in and the pizza is ready, I order two cans of soda and the gentleman said he preferred I paid in cash because it cost him too much money to ring up a card for $2. Even just ordering the sodas was weird, I asked if he could ring me up for two cans and the guy was like “idk can I, or will I?” I got the pizza and I noticed two things. The entire pizza was drenched in grease, and all chese only slices had pepperoni as well keeping in mind that not a lot of pepperoni was used. The attempt to actually make it half only cheese was absent and it was to put it simply it was a very sloppy pizza. The crust tastes good but it is noticeably chewy and not in a good way. I might give this place one more chance but I have more reasons to try...
Read moreHands down, best pie in town! St. Charles was needing a gourmet pizza joint, prices on the menu at perfect maybe even on the low side but over all a great place. I'm not a friend, just a customer who was looking to order something more the the Hut and Dom.
I tip everyone equally, however if the food comes faster then estimated I tip a little more. I know a delivery drives job is hard and sometime impossible so I try to be a courteous with all at all times. Even though the delivery guys are always nice, sincere and apologetic. A inspection step before leaving the joint should be performed in order to for customers to get all their items. Sometimes it's not a big deal, other times it is. Last week I was missing a pasta order and a 6-pack of Sprite in my bag, two weeks ago it was just the sprite, a few minutes ago I got our delivery and the sprite was missing again. Now its not a big deal because they always bring it however like the last three times we already finished eating dinner by the time they return. I still tipped just under 35%...
5-Stars on the food 3-Stars on the delivery
Suggestion: Someone should inspect all orders leaving to make sure the drivers get it all to hungry customers with a house...
