I ordered the crab rangoon while I tried to decide on an an entree. I was very concerned when it appeared just a couple of minutes later.

I needn't have worried though; they were the best I have ever had - light, flakey, and delicious.

I ordered the drunken noodles and they too appeared astonishingly fast. I'm a little scared to order extra hot in a Thai restaurant so I ordered it hot. It was a good decision; hot enough to keep me interested but not hot enough to overpower the excellent flavor.

My only complaint was minor and simply a quirk of my taste; I love noodles. I asked for extra noodles and quickly received a large bowl of perfectly fried and seasoned noodles. They were slightly crisp and delicious; exactly the way I would have done them myself.

And then there was dessert. I couldn't resist ordering the banana won ton ice cream. "Crispy won tons with banana filling, sprinkled with cinnamon and topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry" was what the menu said. Unfortunately, that's not what I was served. There was a plate with a little chocolate syrup drizzled on it. The wontons and ice cream were sitting on the plate with nothing on them.

Very disappointing end to what had been an almost perfect meal.

Did I mention the service? The server was friendly and quick without being over-bearing.

My original ending, written while I waited for dessert was "I only wish I could rate this restaurant higher than excellent. Excellent just doesn't do them justice."

Now, due to the disappointing dessert, I have to say they are very very good but just shy...

The service here was abysmal. This is a shame because we have come here before and never had the service we received. This was a Wednesday night and thought we'd have Thai. The waitress was extremely slow and ignored our table and all the other tables constantly. We didnt receive our food for over an hour and our drinks were not refilled unless we flagged down the other server who was turning tables while we sat. 3 tables were served ate and left while we waited for our food. The waitress didn't even bother to come over to apologize for the wait. We surmised that she didn't place our order with the kitchen since her other tables got their food even though they arrived after us. The service was just so terrible that we probably won't be going back which is a shame since we really like the place. This is not a case of staff shortages since the other tables with the exception of ours and 2 others got their food quickly (other server). The food, once it came, was good and hot. This experience has soured us on this location. We may go back but...

I always look forward to the food at Vino Thai. It is fresh and delicious. It is also a great dining experience with gracious service. The take-out by phone has also been reliable. However, I do not suggest using their online ordering service. The mobile experience was clunky. My confirmed order at 5:50 was not ready at 6:33 when my daughter arrived to pick it up. She waited over a half an hour. Although they gave her a drink, they never communicated the timing so she could come back later. It was only at 7, when I called to complain, that we were told the food would be ready in 10 minutes. At 7:13 my daughter left for home (a 10 minute drive). The crab rangoon appetizers and the entree were cold and my entree was MISSING. Although the owner gave my daughter a $15 gift card, and later offered to credit my missing entree, it was not a sufficient response for waiting over an hour for cold and missing food. It will be a very long time before I place an order here...
