Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in St. Charles

DO NOT EAT HERE !! OMG ! How can this be corporate run? First we entered party of 6. One of the female guests used the woman's restroom to find a toilet that someone couldn't make it in. The guest told the host and was told "We know. We will have someone clean it." 1:32 minutes later it was still there. Another femal guest went ahead a took a picture. By that time the men's room floor was covered in a half inch of dirty water from an overflowing toilet. We were seated at a double table in back. We noticed after 10 minutes that it was hot and humid back there. Checked our temp app and it says it was 79 degrees inside. We have a screen shot. As the night progressed in the heat we noticed an odd dirty carpet smell. Dirty Napkin with grease spots. We have photos. After 11 minutes, finally a server shows up and offers Moscato sample and takes our app order. At this time I started the stopwatch app, we have screen shots. ` 40min 19 sec the apps came out with the salad. 2 of the guests were supposed to have soup. We have photos of their empty place setting. My lettuce was barely cold and semi-wilted. Remember we are sitting in 79 degree heat. One of the lettuce bowls has croutons with a heaping of crouton dust, photos! Meal comes out at 44:24. Glad we had time for apps and salad. Still NO soup. We bring it to the waitresses attention 48:14 the soup comes out. Have photo of our rubbery and cold calamari sitting next to my just served entree. More photos!!! Large piece of paper packaging in the Cucina Mia Rigatoni with 5 Cheese Marinara. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and they said it was a piece of tomato. 1. Stiff, 2. It tore and tasted like paper. 3. It was huge 1.5 x 3 inch. They replaced the meal. Just took it to go as she lost her appetite. Breadsticks were stale. See photo. You know, normally these go quick. Chicken Gnocchi soup, the chicken was hard. See photos. I had the Steak with Alfredo. The noodles were very gummy. Overcooked pasta or sitting too long. Ordered the lemon cake for dessert. She comes back...out of lemon cake.

To add insult to injury, one of our guests had a gift card given to him because the same location gave him poor service previously. Repeated incidents show incompetency, lack of training, lack of leadership and lack of common sense. We could not find an employee older than 25 and we never seen a manager that normally walks around and asks how is your meal. Vile is a strong word and it is to be used in describing this location. Close it down or take 2 weeks off to remodel, remove the stench and train the staff with new management.

The Oswego location should be a training site as they have it together.

Surfsandtrees and I had an absolutely sensational experience at the Olive Garden 🪴 in St Charles, Illinois! From the moment we stepped in, we knew we were in for a treat. The decor and wine bottles displayed on the walls 🫢. Our lovely waitress Kat recommended the soup of gnocchi and boy was she right 👌🏽. The new battered calamari recipe with the mouth watering creamy cheesy house sauce and cocktail sauce with the side slice of lemon 🍋 was a true delight for our taste buds. I do wish there were more lemon slices though 😞 And oh the hot buttery garlic bread 🥖 paired with their famous salad 🥗 was pure perfection. Mouth watering I was sad that we couldn’t bring the rest of it home with us.

Our waitress Kat was beyond phenomenal and sweet. She knew exactly what to recommend and her suggestion of the Gnocchi soup was a game changer especially paired with the garlic 🧄 bread 🍞 oh my gawd!!!!! I indulged in the eggplant Parmesan cheese 🧀 pasta which blew my mind 🤯 and the renowned lasagna which was oozing with cheese 🧀 and utterly hot gooeyness.

To quench our thirst, we tried their refreshing mint Strawberry 🍓 lemonade drinks, and ahhhh, were they minty and invigorating! They were the perfect complement to the scrumptious meal.

We can’t thank the staff enough for providing us with such a memorable dining experience, especially right before my kidney donation surgery. Their warm hospitality and delectable dishes lifted my spirit and made the evening even more special.

Yesterday, I went there with 5 other family members after a funeral. When we walked in there was a gentleman hosting he was very rude to us. Once seated our server was Chloe. She was very kind. Once we finished and said our goodbyes I got home to realize I had forgotten my purse at the restaurant. Frantic I called the restaurant and got the host that was rude to us earlier. He was not very nice, but told me that the busser found my purse and locked it up. After, getting it I realized my cash and a few gift cards were missing. Luckily, my ID, credit cards and other items were still there. However, later I started to think I'd they left those things is it likely they were down the numbers. I called back to the restaurant to speak to the manager who told me that purses/wallets are always locked up and they have never had an issue before. Told me she was sorry for my loss and would contact me if she found anything out. The conversation was very dismissive. After telling her someone stole from me at her establishment and I encountered a rude employee if seemed she didn't care and told me what she had to to get me off the phone. I will never go back there again. I had to call and out fraud notices on all my accts. It's been horrible. The least she could do was be kind. I completely understand that I forgot my purse, but I am now out my cash, my gift cards and having to deal with fraud notices and cancelling cards and she completely...
