Riverlands Brewing Company — Restaurant in St. Charles

We looked at the whole brewery. This is my second visit to this brewery. One time before covid-19 hit. We gave this high of rating overall because at least they have good beer. The beer is delicious! As far as atmosphere, we would go somewhere else. It was plain and not interesting and this has not changed since before covid-19. We also did not like the fact we have to pay to get a sample to see if we want a beer. I prefer tasting before I buy. The bartender was nice, but lacked skills of suggesting beers to us. Nice new brewery in st Charles. Owners still need to add more 2 and 4 person tables, only food there is gourmet pretzel chips so bring your own food . Flight of four 4.5 oz. Beers will run about $15. I would highly suggest owners rethink and offer 3 oz flight of 8 samplers instead so customers can really taste sample menu. All the beers are quite good but about 15-20% too high priced for market. No table service to speak of, and unless you ask them specific questions, no proactive engagement of customers. No your offer or history,story about any beers or brewery. I don’t know why I waited this long to leave a review, but this is by far my favorite brewery in the area!

The location and people are super laid back and the beer quality is phenomenal. I personally am a huge fan of their heavily fruited sours and their Porters but I have not had a bad beer out of there, even in the styles I don’t prefer.
