Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store — Restaurant in St. Charles

1 star, boy where do I start about this catastrophe of a business ran by the ABSOLUTE WORST “Paul Davison” First when I came into the restaurant I saw him yelling and scolding an employee over a dress code issue, (the girls hair didn’t look fluffy enough?) this man is a monster and also has been seen buying bananas with his bare hands and employees money. Secondly this place is so dirty, the floor is never clean, I found a booger on the chess pieces, it doesn’t seem like they know how to run a Ice cream shop, the employees who helped me were nice except for a young blonde girl, I think her name was Emily, she looked at me rude and rolled her eyes when I ordered a Coffee Milkshake. I’ve been here twice and have had only bad experiences, the only upside to my drive through experience, (my second time going) was that the young man running the drive through (he had red hair) was extremely courteous and treated me with respect as all employees should do to the customer, the higher up management, especially PAUL DAVISON are terrible, Oberweis,...

Tonight was the worst, for an Oberweis location known for very slow and poor service.

There were several cars in the drive through, so we went inside to order. There was no line of customers, but it still took about 30 minutes to get our order. The person taking our order didn't seem to know what flavors they sold. After multiple attempts, our order was placed. About 30 minutes later, the wrong flavors were in the cones. We just left, rather than wait like others to get their correct order prepared.

To make matters worse, the employees were goofing off...zero interest in customer service or how much time people were waiting. Some employees were walking around with drinks in their hands, another was kicking a bachi bag in back, the manager was in another world, not overseeing all the wrong orders coming out. Lots of goofing around by the staff, rather than properly filling orders.

Bottom line....don't go here. We have been in multiple times, but have thrown in the towel. Until they get a serious staff and manager, just stay away...

Posting this two weeks late, but the joy of this moment still feels fresh. Oberweis has always been a part of life’s simple joys, and it brought so much happiness to a truly special visit. I picked up a dulce de leche milkshake for my uncle, who is in a memory care community, and it became more than just a treat—it was a moment of connection and light.

The smile on his face as he enjoyed the milkshake was priceless. Oberweis didn’t just deliver a delicious dessert; it helped weave joy into a challenging chapter of our lives. Sitting with my uncle and cousin, looking through photos and seeing cherished memories come alive, reminded me of how small things—like a perfectly made milkshake—can spark immense gratitude.
