I want to start by saying I work on the SCSU campus and have frequently ordered with my team and for events in the past. We often have minor errors with our orders and don't even bother contacting Chipotle. Several months ago we placed an order that never arrived. I went through their ridiculous chat option, which is the only way to soak to someone and was promised a refund which I never received. Unforgivable, I forgot about it and when I remembered it had been so long that I felt I should just let it go.
After my most recent experience at this Chipotle I can say that I will never eat there again, and will not order from there for my team, or our departmental events, and will make it a point to share my experience with other event planners on campus.
My son ordered a meal on the website which said it would be ready in 10 minutes. It actually took us more like 20 to get there. We had to wait for over a half hour after arriving for the meal to be ready. I understand being busy, but the site should not say it will be ready in 10 minutes if it's going to take nearly an hour. He finally got his meal and we took it home where he opened it to find it was completely wrong. It had several toppings he had not ordered and was missing several he had ordered. We checked the receipt attached to the bag and that was correct. It was just made wrong. We couldn't reach anyone and he really wanted his meal instead of a refund so I don't back up there.
I admit I was frustrated when I sent to the counter and said that we had waited over 45 minutes for this meal and it was made incorrectly. That was clear in my tone, but I was not aggressive or offensive. The employee I was speaking to stated to open it to look at it when another young lady roughly grabbed it from her, opened it and said, "This is right!" I started to tell her that it had the basics, but was missing several things and had things that it wasn't supposed to, when she inspired me and said, "Oh, it's just a few things.," and looked at me as if I were supposed to apologize and take the meal back. I stated to repeat what was wrong with it since she interrupted me and was just standing there. She intertupted me again and said "We heard you!" She huffed loudly and took the bowl back to the prep station. I could see that the young lady that I originally approached was as uncomfortable as I was. I asked for a manager and she pointed him out. He was there witnessing this whole thing. I told him I didn't appreciate the attitude when all I was asking was to have my order corrected. His response was "I'm not worried about it. We're busy." I have never had worse service in my life! I waited a few minutes and the rude employee handed the polite one a bowl. She put it in the bag and handed it to me and apologized. I got out the front door when the polite employee caught up to me and very apologetically explsinef that she thought the other employee had given her my meal, but she had made someone else's first so I had the wrong meal again. She got me the right one and apologized for all the trouble. I thanked her for her help and left.
There is one more Chipotle in town, but there is also a QDoba, so I will likely opt for that in the future over a place where managers aren't worried about staff trading customers horribly for their...
Read moreNOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!! A couple co-workers and myself were in today around 12:15 and as to be expected it was busy. That's nothing new to us as we usually go once a week (until today of course). First thing is they were out of chicken. How the hell do you run out of chicken? I would have to assume that is probably one of the most requested meats, so why would you not have that ready - especially since it was the lunch rush? So the guy in front of me is waiting for chicken, all the while my bowl is halted on the "assembly" line, sitting getting cold for over five minutes (I timed it). Finally he gets his chicken and my bowl progresses. I get to the toppings and they were out of pico and one other salsa. No big deal I guess but who the hell orders for this place? How do you run out of ANYTHING? I have never seen this place without a line, so to run out of anything in such a popular place seems unacceptable. I figured a little courteous "sorry for the inconvenience" would have been nice while waiting for this crap. Just a, "hey, sorry about the wait, here's a soda for you being patient", but no, nothing. Not to mention they seemed pissed off that everything was in disarray and that the line was forming out the building. If I were the manager I would expect more sense of urgency from my employees and a little more courtesy towards the anxiously (and patiently) waiting customers. I finally get my bowl and foolishly tell the gal at the register (her name was Sarifa) "thank you" . Not sure why I was even thanking them for being so unorganized and slow but, I'm nice, I say that to everyone. I didn't get any reaction from her, rather she just looked at the next guy in line and asked what he had. Oh sorry Sarifa, sorry your job sucks so bad. Ya know I don't care what job you do, do it with class and conviction. I'm not making you work there. I expect a little more from employees that I'm paying a premium price for their food. Speaking of food, I got back to work to find out the onions & peppers were RAW. I happen to like raw peppers and onions, but not on my bowl that I was expecting them to be cooked. I'm guessing cause they were unorganized and not prepared for the rush. Suffice it to say Chipotle you lost four regular customers. It will be BRAVO BURRITO from...
Read moreNow, I could be a Karen like half of yall in these reviews. But I’m going to approach this like a civilized adult. Now I order online from here often, all of the times except one I’ve picked up my order I’ve had to wait. I understand that I order within the lunch period so a couple minute wait isn’t going to upset me. Those employees in the back are moving like lightning McQueen on race day. They’re faster than people checking their bank accounts for a new stimmy. Now for those of you complaining about their attitudes. First of all, they’re working in Saint Cloud Minnesota, of course they look crabby. Who would want to live let alone work in a place like this. Secondly, they have to deal with Karen’s that order lunch at 12:30 along with 50 other people and complain that they have to wait an extra two minutes for their food (here’s a tip, order it sooner then show up later, chances are it’ll be done by then, use common sense.). Thirdly, it’s chipotle, it’s the McDonald’s or Mexican food. These poor employees are making minimum wage and working harder than a lot of people, cut them some slack. I’d give them 5/5 stars but it’s located in Saint Cloud so that takes away a star. Y’all sit there and complain about a restaurant but don’t do anything to change your options. I hope all these employees get a raise and a bonus for dealing...
