Update: The store manager, Juanita, was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate my situation regarding her staff. Because of her attentiveness and genuine willingness to hear my feedback, I have raised my rating by three stars.
Whenever I walk into an establishment, the first thing I notice is customer service. No matter how popular a place may be, customer service is one of the key factors that keeps customers coming back.
Unfortunately, my experience here was disappointing, and I chose not to spend my money. My friend and I were not greeted upon entering or when approaching the ice cream counter—two employees simply stared at us. It felt strange that, as the customers, we had to initiate the conversation. That was my first red flag.
While my friend was eventually assisted by one employee, I stood unattended as the other stood beside me, staring off into space. I asked if her colleague was the only person assisting customers, and she replied, “No, but I can help you.” By then, I was disinterested in her service and told her I would wait. She huffed under her breath, muttering something along the lines of, “Well, you don’t have to be mean.” I responded that looking uninterested and disengaged doesn’t help either. She then stormed off to the back, cursing at me.
At this point, both my friend and the other employee looked confused. I explained the situation, and the employee assisting my friend said, “Well, that’s my sister, and we’re both shift leads!”—which was irrelevant to my concern. The second employee then became combative, seemingly because her sister was upset.
I asked to try a couple of flavors, which frankly did not seem worth the cost, and then requested the contact information for upper management, which I was given.
I share this to emphasize that customer service matters. I’m not sure how these young ladies were trained, but I suspect I’m not the only customer who has experienced poor...
Read moreWe are visiting St. Louis and after dinner wanted some ice cream. My family makes a point to eat local when we are traveling instead of looking for chain restaurants. Upon my Google search for desserts I came upon Clementine’s. It was delicious, they have a variety of unique flavors that you don’t find at other ice cream places. In addition, the ice cream was creamy and flavorful and delicious. I had blue moon in a red velvet cone, my son had the honey lavender in a waffle cone, my husband had Keylime, and my other son had blue moon. We all absolutely loved it! I will say, it was a little tricky to find. The GPS took us to the address, but you actually have to go past it, turn right onto a side street, make another right onto a side street and then you pull up to the restaurant at a dead end. They could advertise a little bit better. Maybe a larger sign facing the street so you can at least see it . But I’m so glad we followed through and found it. I would highly recommend it. When we arrived, it was 930 at night, and they close at 10. There were other people in this brightly lit store and everyone was extremely...

The area of Central West in St Louis is just amazing and this ice cream parlour is a beautiful addition to it. It's rare I give 5 stars but this deserves it.
The lady behind the counter was so helpful and friendly, offering tastes before we bought and advising what the flavours were and the history of the place. Thanks to her!
The ice cream was just delicious and possibly the best I've ever had. A lovely parlous with plenty of places to sit and enjoy out of the scorching sun which is nice too.
Would highly recommend a visit. I had their special - which name escapes me now - but it was peanut butter, chocolate and salted caramel. Incredible! My partner had Amaretto Sour with cherries on top and my daughter had Salted Caramel and Cookies. All of them...
