If you're craving Japanese cuisine, which I was, check out this spot. Located in the Central West End, Hitea offers many options such as ramen, rice bowls bento boxes, and boba tea. Hi had no idea this was even here. The vibe is so cute. It’s a decorated like a courtyard. The girl working was friendly and helpful. We ordered the edamame which was perfectly salted, the crispy spring rolls and the delicious shrimp fried rice. Everything was made fresh. #stlouispescatarianapproved Heather had their fresh milk tea and said it was great. I’m not a fan of boba tea. Wish I was.

Weren’t many people in 2:15 but that was ok. Food came out at a decent speed, was hot. The thai milk tea was a little thinner than I’m used to but was good. I’m mostly thankful for the waitress— I’m pregnant and had a wave of nausea while eating and had to switch seats to find relief. She inquired and brought me water and taught me a new hack to curb nausea— squeeze and smell a lemon. Thanks a bunch! It helped. I’d be back but wouldn’t get the Thai tea.

Liked the presentation of the food, with the amazing options of customizing the milk tea. Loved the starters, for what surprised me the most was how fast the food was made(i was the only person in store, so maybe that played a key role). Will come back again to try a lunch box. Owners are friendly

This shop is an absolute gem if you want the ultimate boba experience in the CWE area! With an impressive selection of food and boba drinks, it's impossible not to find something that hits the spot. The ambiance is not just clean; it's inviting and energizing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The staff? They're a breath of fresh air—always friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with friends.

Let me tell you, the food is nothing short of phenomenal, and the drinks? Pure bliss! When I was living in CWE, this was my go-to spot after those long shifts at the hospital. It was conveniently just a quick 0.1-mile stroll from my apartment, and winding down with some delicious boba was the highlight of my day. Trust me, you're missing out if you haven't been here yet!

P.S. My fave orders are: sesame balls, chicken karaage, beef teriyaki udon, and the smashed taro brown sugar boba milk (highly...

Came in for lunch. Ordered for my wife and myself with high hopes because of the reviews. Unfortunately what we were met with was an immature and incomplete experience. For starters, the only employee there was clearly overwhelmed and lacking training/experience. She was kind, but with only 2 other guests in the restaurant, it took her over 50min to complete our very simple rice entre. She seemed flustered and unorganized, and was also not wearing the proper clothing for food service (wearing sandals is a violation of St. Louis health code while preparing food). I would recommend additional staff or more extensive training to help this young lady manage what I would consider to be very minimal expectations. For anyone curious I am a tenured sous chef so I am speaking from a depth of knowledge. I would gladly invite any communication with ownership to rectify the situation and/or provide more details about the...

My party of 3 decided to try out this place for lunch yesterday. Upon arrival no one was there. No greeting was given , the counter girl just stared. We figured you had to order & pay on the kiosk. As we placed our order them she greeted us. Service was already TRASH. One lady comes , orders. Once food came , she received hers first. I was surprised. Then we received ours . Food MEDIOCRE. We spent $100 +. Tips were given . Spicy beef ramen was miso broth with chili oil mixed I was very DISAPPOINTED!! We have had better service and better food at less modern ramen places. After this couple arrived and received way better service than us upon arrival. Will NOT revisit this location again. 2/10 overall. Will visit their other location, hope...
