When I first moved into The Residences at Forest Park, I was impressed by how beautiful the building was. My tour was amazing and It had potential to be a great place to live. But recent management changes have been disappointing and seem poorly thought out.
There was a noticeable shift in who was running things, and it quickly became clear that Jamie, the former assistant manager, was the only one truly holding it all together through changes for quite some time . Every time I went to the office, she was the only one who greeted or helped me while the main manager sat on her phone or seemed uninterested. Jamie always listened, followed up and made genuine efforts to resolve issues — all without the support she clearly needed and deserved.
Structure wise, over the last few years things have really gone downhill. The roof leaks, the elevators have been broken for almost a year, and the office is rarely open. Even small touches that made the place feel warm — like pleasant music in the lobby — are gone. What used to be a pleasant place to live is now frustrating and disappointing. Management needs to reevaluate the choices being made and start prioritizing both the residents and the staff who genuinely care.
NO ONE HAS REACHED OUT TO ME FROM MANAGEMENT TO CONFIRM MY TENANCY. MY VIEWS ARE VALID, IM STILL A CURRENT TENANT , THE PROPERTY MANAGER IS TRASH AND THE ELEVATORS ARE...
Read moreThe building management is absolutely the worst. This building has been sold 3 times in the last 4 years to different management companies, and with each sell, the service went rapidly downhill. The current manager blatantly doesn't give a s* about your problem. For one, they are hard to reach: the office is not open during supposed business hours; when it is open, the building manager is on personal phone calls chitchatting away, and they never replied to my emails. There are 3 elevators in the building. At any given point, one elevator has been broken for months with no timeline of fixing. At one point, all 3 were down, AND the fire exit door can't be unlocked from within -- all these were KNOWN problems we reported over and over again. For prospect resident, take a look at the water pipe in the backcourt yard above the mail room -- it falls apart and is hanging on a thin thread. The parking lot gate is broken.
There were a few staff who did care about things, then they got fired or quitted out of rage / disappointment. The incompetent and indifferent building manager somehow got to stay in her position throughout.
The building had good facilities and I like the common space. It had such good cards but was put in the wrong hands. It's quite sad to see such a beautiful building...
Read moreOuch! Accustomed to only doing positive reviews online, I had to make an exception here. Our daughter lived her for 4 years with an initial wonderful, conscientious, friendly, accommodating crew at the front desk, and quick and thorough maintenance response time. However, there was then a rapid turnover of staff, policy until final check- out and move mid-May. The new manager had absolutely no desire to help, to find out answers to questions and was totally inept with everything from trying to figure out how to take payment from our guests who rented the guest apartment to using the service elevator for the moving company to the "walk through" upon move-out demanding repairs and cleaning that had pre-dated the move in, were normal wear and tear resulting in the security deposit not being returned. Quickly turning contentious, it seemed better to forewarn others who might be considering a move to the building. There are many other options in this...
