Vampire Penguin Shaved Snow and Desserts — Restaurant in St. Louis

We came here to see how it compared to the location in Bradenton Florida. Each location is privately owned and operated. This location has extremely friendly owners and is every bit as good as the Florida location.

My family and I each got our own, my son got the Chocolate Overload, my wife made her own concoction which was was the Twix but she instead used chocolate and strawberry snow which gave it a chocolate covered strawberry taste, and I got the Twix with vanilla snow and OMG they knocked it out of the park! I wouldn’t be surprised if they added the flavor chocolate covered strawberry to their menu because it was great! They have set flavors or you can also build your own, which allows you to pick the flavor of the snow and toppings.

I think no matter what you order here, you will not be let down. I would however recommend to come sooner than later because once the word gets out about this place, there will be lines out the front door, and you will be waiting to get your amazing dessert.

The other good thing about the dessert here is it does not fill you up in a way that makes you uncomfortable like most traditional ice cream type desserts.

As a (completely self-proclaimed) shaved ice connoisseur from all over the country, this is maybe the best I’ve ever had anywhere. It’s much less ice and more snow, smooth and soft for those who hate the chunkiness of Hawaiian style, with plenty of toppings and additions that add additional flavor and texture. Just excellent all around, I’m so glad we decided to try it on our recent visit to the area.

Even my husband, who is typically an ice hater, said the dulce de leche was extraordinary and he’d be happy to come back anytime.

I heard StL got a Vampire Penguin & had to check it out! It’s in a great location, close to Forest Park, & the owners couldn’t be nicer 😊 The most popular one on their menu so far is the Strawberry Cheesecake, so I went with that. It was so good; fresh strawberries, vanilla & strawberry snow topped with graham crackers & cheesecake bites. You can build your own or go with a staff favorite.
