We sat out on their hidden patio during perfect weather - which only added to the amazing experience. Hey gin-lovers: I'm really only going to talk about the FOOD because it left such a lasting impression, but please note that their gin cocktails are EXCELLENT. It was our first ever visit, so we tried *several* small plates. These 3 dishes came out first: • Gougères - Is it even possible to go wrong with cheesy bread? No. But it's possible to "elevate" it, as demonstrated by Salve Osteria. These little bites were so good and satisfying. • Japanese White Turnips - Want to pretend you love healthy veggies but really just love yummy food? This dish is SURPRISINGLY tasty and addictive. The little turnip bites, sauce, and greens made a deliciously fresh additional to the meal. • Heirloom Tomato Burrata - Love caprese salad? You've probably never tried it with Burrata and OMG, it's so good. Fresh tomatoes, tangy balsamic, plus some sort of magical basil foam - wow, it's amazing. Then these two pasta dishes came out (along with a comment from our server that they would be "life-changing"... and they did not disappoint): • Fettuccine - This pesto dish is fantastic and made even more filling and savory with the Italian sausage bites. A little messy but worth it. • Agnolotti - Have you ever wondered what creamy ricotta heaven tastes like in pocket-form. Wonder no more! These are like half-size ravioli made with FRESH pasta. I was so full but still could have continued to eat 50 more of these, because they were just that good. Amazing dinner spot. I would love to go back and try even more!

Update: We brought nearly 50 ladies here for Sunday brunch and they handled us like champs — service was friendly, fast, and totally unflustered. I had the hash with pork belly, poached egg, potatoes, and spinach (10/10 delicious), and the cocktails from The Gin Room? Next level. Thoughtful, balanced, and honestly some of the best drinks in the city. 🍸✨ Insider tip: they don’t always open for brunch (iykyk 😉), so snag a table when they do. Otherwise, their dinners and Sunday happy hour are also fabulous. Follow me on Google Maps for more STL brunch finds, cocktail gems, and must-try restaurants. 🥂 Weekend happy hour at Salve Osteria = absolute perfection! 🍷✨ Previous: It’s not easy finding a solid weekend happy hour, but Salve Osteria completely delivered. From the drink specials to the flavorful small plates, everything hit the mark. We ordered: 🧀 Meat & Cheese Plate – a charcuterie lover’s dream 🍝 Meatballs – tender, flavorful, and perfectly sauced 🐷 Pork Belly – crispy on the outside, rich and melt-in-your-mouth inside 🥔 Patatas Bravas – golden, spicy, and impossible to stop eating The vibes were relaxed and welcoming, making it the perfect place to wrap up the weekend. Drinks were fantastic, and the attention to flavor and detail in every dish was chef’s kiss. If you haven’t been yet, this is your sign to go—and if you know other great weekend happy hours in STL, send them my way! ✨ Follow me for more STL foodie finds and happy hour hot spots! #TheSassySaint #SalveOsteria #STLEats #STLHappyHour #FoodieAdventures #EatDrinkSTL #WeekendVibes

If I have to finish this review in three words and few stars then it will be “the heritage/legend continues” and give 5 stars and finish it…..however this restaurant deserves much more than those stars. Another exhilarating experience from Natasha and her chef colleagues this is force de tour to recognize. The theme is social dining and farm-to-table and it very well reflects in the menu. Not to mention the awesome drink menus from the Gin room. Reservation can be made through Tock and highly recommend. Service is fast, personalized and to the point and will leave you with a pallet full of memories. We had Monkey business, Mahon 50/50 and Summer garden for drinks and they were just awesome!! For appetizers beet salad and savory cannoli were just mouth watering and perfect portion to share with 3 people. Main course choices are somewhat limited but I think it depends on what chef can get the freshest produce. We had grilled trout and this was one of the freshest you can get in STL! The roasted chicken and Tagilatelle pasta were great. Don’t forget the Tuscan egg plant if you want to indulge in something veggie as well. Few choices of awesome deserts such as mango sorbet if you want to overindulge - haha. Overall a a great experience and this place easily tops it as one of the top few restaurants in STL!! Way to go Natasha and team!!
