šŸ‘ŽšŸ‘ŽšŸ‘ŽI went to the improve shop for the first time today to see Justice Buds ( One actor had a fat belly with a redish beard, the other actor was a little older with square chin, black hair and he wore chuck taylors). Not knowing that a skit would have clearly racist undertones leading to an entire show about "Bee" people. How they're good rappers and how he wants to be more popular than them... if only he could kill them/beat them. Then it went into his fantasy of him thinking about "allegedly beating" them holding a stick in his hand. They were trying to keep it hidden, but it was foul. I was disgusted and disappointed that the skit had gone this direction in 2019, at a public place, paid to get in and enacted by a Millinnial. I left when I realized what was really being talked about....

Husband and I went for the Just for Laughs comedy show which we really liked. The amount of time each comedian was given was adequate. By switching up the comedians, it offered more variety and kept the show moving along. The pizza though, GROSS! I know provel cheese is a STL thing but NO ONE who isnt raised in STL likes provel. It was not mentioned on the menu so I order a cheese pizza expecting mozzarella to take one bite and say forget dinner. My husband said it was worse than IMOs and it was a huge disappointment. If you're like me and not originally from STL, dont order the pizza you wont like the provel. The parking is a mess as is getting out of the lot. The road out into the highway is...

I wish I could give it a higher rating. As someone with hearing loss, this wasn't a good experience. There's only so much I can do with my hearing aids to try to enhance the sound. Between the lack of projection, the mics not picking up, and not having seats close enough to read lips, this was a terrible experience for me. My normal-hearing partner could only get about 50%. I did ask for them to consider accessibility after the opening act, and the main group I think tried to project more, but it simply isn't a good venue for the hearing impaired. And that's really disappointing, as I was there to see a friend perform. I could tell they thought he was funny, but I have no idea what he - or anyone...

Me & my partner went on a date night on Saturday. The earlier show was sold out because I didnt buy the tickets before. I didnt think people really went to these things. So we caught a later show and still had a good time. The drinks are decently priced and the food came out hot. The show it self- I was very impressed and I would come back again for a laugh. I remember for sure we as shirts & skins and they did good with interacting with the audience as the audience reacted to them. I dont have anything negative to say at all. Parking was not a problem and the crowd was good.

I signed up for classes out of needing enrichment having never been to the shop before. I can absolutely see where if I had seen a performance first, I would have said ā€œno way can I do that!ā€ I’m testifying that there is absolutely a way you can be transformed, in a positive, supportive, inclusive environment to be the best and better you every day! Even if you don’t proceed with performing, this is true life enrichment in their classes! P.s. the shows and bartender’s are super awesome too! I recommend the shop as a first go to for entertainment!

I had so much fun at The Improv Shop. It was refreshing. I hadn't smiled or laughed that hard in so long. Afterward, my face hurt. The entertainment is incredible and affordable. Food and drinks were excellent. The service was also great for having only one server in the area, and the bartenders were mostly attentive and efficient. I'll definitely be returning soon. Anyone who's intrigued by comedy or improv should check this place out. If not intrigued by that, there's still a nice bar.
