Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in St. Matthews

I've been to this new location four times now. The food at first was on par with the location opposite St. Matthews Mall, however, the last two visits the fries were cold and the chicken was super greasy. The traffic is a nightmare. The drive through lines can be backed up at lunchtime, so you have to wait for a space at the end of the line. All while you hope the exiting Home Depot traffic leaves you a gap, doesn't fill the space in the drive through line that came available, or someone trying to wave you across traffic when you can see the drive through line is still full. I picked the wrong line yesterday. The guy taking orders on my side was so laid back, I saw seven cars on the other side get ahead of me. After leaving the drive through and waiting to turn right opposite First Watch, it's almost impossible to get into the outside lane if you want to turn left on Breckenridge. You are basically forced to go in the inside lane, drive down to Dutchman's and do a U turn. I'm going to stick to the St. Matts location...

Exceptional staff! I interacted w/4 different employees ... And I went thru the drive thru! They ALL knew my name too!

This is a new store and the staff is very well trained, friendly, in a good mood despite 95 degrees outside.

I LOVE that I can safely eat here with Celiac disease. They have a gluten-free bun and a button to let the kitchen know to change gloves so my food isn't cross-contaminated.

The girl who took my order was new and didn't understand when I asked about an "allergy" button & the glove change thing. She didn't make a big deal or give me a dirty look. Just said, "Hmm. I don't know how. Let me ask someone."

It's SO NICE to be able to order GF and not get any side eye glances. I know I can go to any Chick Fillet & be treated with respect. This new store did not disappoint!

I normally experience great customer service when I walk in . But not this time . I walked in and there was MANAGER at the front . Counting the register . She was a heavy set woman I believe light skinned maybe Latina looking . There was also an African American employee talking to another employee but she looked like she was on break . I stood there for about 3-5 seconds and they just stared at me and didn’t say at word . They just gave me a smug look . Finally a girl from the back greeted me . A I sat down and waited for my order … as I was waiting a white family came in and was greeted by the manager . I can’t even call the race card really . Not sure what there problem was .
