It's been a couple years since we visited this location, mostly because the previous two visits weren't the best, and because we really prefer a location in Jeffersonville much more, even though this location is only about 3 miles from home.
Our most recent visit was on Saturday, February 22. We walked in the door and were seated at 4:12. By 4:17 we had been greeted by our server (Malaya) and placed our orders. This was not a complicated order. 10 boneless wings (my wife's order, 5 with one kind of dry rub, 5 with another kind), and I ordered the TexMex Nachos. We had a coupon for Buy 10 boneless wings, get 10 boneless wings free, so we placed our order for that at the same time, and we wanted one sauce on five of them and a different sauce on the other five. This was not complicated.
Order placed at 4:17. Malaya brought our drinks (two iced teas) and we sat and waited for our food...and didn't see her again for about 45 minutes.
...and we waited...
Our server passed us quite a few times, because we were seated right on the main aisle, at the corner where they have to turn to get the outgoing food, but she didn't say anything to us.
...and we waited...
You wouldn't think think it'd take too long to get 2 pretty simple orders out. The wings didn't even need sauce, and the Nachos are just about the easiest thing to make, since it's basically assembling ingredients that are already prepared.
FINALLY, the food arrives. At 4:52. That comes out to 35 minutes to deliver food THAT IS BASICALLY APPETIZERS and is, by design, something that should come out quickly, before the main course.
At this time we asked the person who delivered our food (Jordyn) if we could get drink refills, since Malaya wasn't being the most attentive server in the world. Jordyn took care of that and got us eating utensils.
In fact, Malaya didn't stop by until 10 minutes after we got our food when she stopped by to ask if everything was OK. I said my wife's wings were fine, but my nachos were not hot...at all...in fact, that they were room temperature, but I didn't feel like waiting another 35 minutes to get them replaced. She didn't offer to do anything about that at all.
Fast forward to getting the check and our to-go wings. The to-go wings were supposed to be 5 Honey Sriracha and 5 General Tso's. What we actually got was 6 Honey Sriracha and 4 General Tso's.
This was our third visit to this location, and most likely our last. On our first visit we sat outside (by choice) but were largely forgotten by our server. We literally had to go inside to find someone every time we needed something
Our second visit was marred by the staff dedicating nearly all their resources into getting a table and food ready for an order THAT WAS CALLED IN for a group of 20. (long story short - the group was an hour later than they stated and the restaurant had to throw all that food out and start over).
This visit it's the 35 minutes to get two appetizers, an inattentive server, and the to-go wings.
I honestly am not compelled to ever return to this location. The drive to Jeffersonville from JTown is rewarded by a much better Hooters...
Read moreI normally don't waste my time posting reviews but this location is just the worst of all I've been to. Last time I was here was about a year ago. My waitress completely ignored our table for the majority of the time we were there, in favor of a "high roller" patron that was in that night, and it wasn't just her. It was all the waitresses. Hanging out on his lap asking if he needed anything and made sure his stay was as comfortable as humanly possible. (I actually have a snap saved joking about the terrible experience) meanwhile I couldn't even get my drinks refilled. Said waitress then had an attitude because she was not tipped. But that's not even why I'm writing this review. I'm writing because tonight on 12/30/2020 I decided to do a carry out order at 10pm. All the websites said the store was open until 11pm and they stop taking carry out orders at 10:30. They processed my payment. I drive over a few minutes later to pick up my order only to be met by locked doors. I signaled to the guy inside that I had an order. He came to the door and told me they stopped making food at 8pm. I told him that was fine but I would like a refund for the amount that I had paid for so I could get on with my 30 min lunch break. He told me they don't do refunds in the store and that I would have to call corporate. So I did and they informed me that it was a franchised location so it would have to be dealt with at the location. I called the restaurant to explain what corporate had said and he essentially told me they were wrong. (I personally think he didn't care cause he was ready to go home) called corporate back to explain the situation further and they told me the same thing. So now I've completely wasted my 30 min lunch. I still have no food and the guy who said he's the manager can't help me? What??? He told me to come in tomorrow. That would be great if I didn't work thirds and slept for most of my day. After I get my refund I will never eat at this location again and I highly encourage the same for the people who are thinking about eating at this particular...
Read moreWell Not very impressed this this place. It’s Dec 30 about 9. It’s kinda steady but not cray here. The atmosphere is nice but the service wasn’t great at all. Our server hardly came to the table. Had to ask a different server for the manager because the Strawberry daiquiri was horrible. Never had so much alcohol sitting on the top of it so they remade it, and it was much better. As for the wings, I think they took baby chickens, instead of full grown chickens for the size of the wings here. There was not much meat on any of them. my wife had barbecue and a lot of them. We’re not very good. I had the Texas barbecue and they were OK with flavor but not what I was expecting. We had to ask for another round of drinks when my glass at empty. So unfortunately, our server Kristen was not very on top of things. She was busy at the host table and just wandering. We did notice one server here who was really busting her butt we want to give her props for all her hard work that we noticed it and her name is Azlyn. She even stopped at our table and talked to us quite a few times just checking on us to make sure things were OK. I’m guessing she realized our server wasn’t doing her job. Hopefully the management can coach and teach their staff because this was definitely a very poor experience for us, whenever we get a chance to stop at a Hooters, we’re always there. We’ve been to Richmond. We’ve been to Toledo down in South Carolina all over in. Unfortunately this was the worst experience we had other than the server that...
