Went here on 4/20/23 and was amazed with the quality of the food. I took pictures of what I ordered and got a "build your own omelete" with chorizo, spinach, cheddar & American cheese, and 2 buttermilk biscuits.
When it comes to breakfast, in my opinion, it's not exactly easy to get things right, but when it comes to omletes, it's so easy to make things wrong. This place was on another level of good. Beautiful texture of the egg, flavorful chorizo (which is hard to find here in Kentucky at breakfast places), and the buttermilk biscuits were crispy without any burnt portions.
With the pictures that I've shown, you can see the price was around 20 dollars which for the quality and service I feel is fair for breakfast if you're looking for something nice as opposed to quick and easy. Also with the pictures and something that I'd ask for are having them have an option for breakfast sandwiches, not that you can't just throw it together like I did.
Now let's talk about the potatoes. Remember how I said the buttermilk biscut was perfectly crisped and flakey? The potatoes were just as wonderful. Their skillet potatoes are AMAZINGLY WELL DONE. normally, I'm not super excited about fries or potatoes at a restaurant. They're typically whatever who cares, right? Nah, these fries were perfectly crispy and wonderfully soft on the inside absolutely above other skillet potatoes that I've had at any other breakfast place. I am very, very happy with the quality and taste of the food.
I will mention that parking is a little hard/ confusing, and it's easily packed up. I think you can park at the neighboring restaurant and go to wild eggs, but I'm not entirely sure. We went at 11 am on a thrusday, were instantly seated however the place was almost full! (And I can...
Read moreI wish I could of given a review on the food only as it was what we were looking most forward to upon our arrival at Wild Eggs in Louisville but unfortunately we never got to even sit down. This review if for the poor service we received upon our arrival to the restaurant. We made an 8 person reservation for 10:30am. We called the restaurant to let them know we would be a little bit late as getting 8 people out the door is not easy task especially with two toddlers. The restaurant was 20 minutes from our location and I received a call a bit later from the hostess who asked us how long we would be I told her 7 minutes which is what the GPS said she said ok and hung up. Upon arrival I gave my name and the hostess quickly left her stand and grabbed the manager he then approached me quite rudely and explained to me that because we were a whole 4 minutes past our 7 minute time frame that he had to give our table away. When I asked him how long it would be to wait he said "I don't know right now". Within in his explanation to me as to why he chose to give away our table he was tapping loudly on the hostess stand like if his hand was helping explain himself but it came off as very rude. I told him he did not need to tap as I could hear him quite Cleary. I don't doubt the food would of been amazing here but to give away our table and to be extremely rude is not cool and for this reason I will not be eating here EVER! I've been in the restaurant biz and this isn't it. Its a shame because we...
Read moreI've been to several locations including a new location in Indiana and I've had great service and great food at all locations, until today. The silverware was dirty and they had to bring us three sets until they found a clean one. The tables being served alcohol that were seated after us were served first and had several rounds of cocktails before we received our food, which was cold. We weren't given all our food, or even butter for that fact, and had to keep asking for things. He did finally offer to bring a fresh warm dish after I showed him how cold the food was by literally picking up the skillet and putting my finger into the middle of the food. There was no offer to have a manager speak to us or offer to make things right. The server was too busy to be bothered with us, and kept walking by to take care of the two tables that were clearly going to have a huge bill just on alcohol. I felt bad for the table sat by me with two ladies and a baby because he was even more absent to them and the wait was becoming too much for the baby. It's close enough to a lot of other great options so I'll head to those before I eat at this location again. In general, try Wild Eggs other locations, they really are a great chain option for...
