my daughter her husband and kids went to eat here on June-29-2025.at 4:28 pm Was all so bad don’t even know where to start ! Service was AWFUL ,Had to keep asking for every little thing first mustard ,forgot it,ask again.ketchup,forgot it ,ask again .it was empty, bottle disgusting dirty dried up ketchup on top that was hanging on . Ask for bibs had to ask 3 times ,now to the FOOD ! Hot dogs looked very uncooked Noodles dried up looking Chili tasted awful. We all was sick that evening Not good spent 40.00 for a disgusting meal and getting sick on top of it ,do better in evening hours!!!
Worse thing my grandkids told her Thank you when she brought drinks and then again Thank you for food and SHE DID NOT EVEN SAY ANYTHING BACK TO THEM THEY ARE 4 and 6 how...
Read moreLiking Cincinnati chili is a genetic trait - most people not born there don't like it. In fact, Texans are adamant that it is not chili at all for two reasons: it sits on spaghetti and it has beans in it. Fortunately, after some gene therapy my family loves it.
The restaurants are basic - seat yourself, pay at the register sort of places but service is very fast and you get your food in minutes. The menu is very simple - though they have added a few items over the years. Pretty much you are going there for the chili.
There aren't many gluten free options, but you can get a 3-way baked potato which gives you a sense of the Skyline experience. This is important because if you haven't had Skyline you also haven't had the full Cincinnati experience.
Now to start a religious debate... Skyline is way better than Goldstar, Empress, or any of the other Cincinnati chili options.

Read moreIt's been years since I've been to Skyline. No particular reason they just fell out of my rotation. Well today I went in to my old favorite location and it reminded me just why I used to come so often.
The five way has always been my weapon of choice, and to my delight habanero cheese has been promoted to full time menu item, which just makes it even better. The large is almost comically large and came with a fluffy bank of delicious cheese atop it so thick I had to take a moment to figure out where to start. The meal was a messy delight, and at the end I was stuffed and deeply satisfied.
The service was prompt and friendly, just like the old days, though people naturally are seated father apart these days, things being how they are. Overall a very nice experience, and I'm going to try to get back...
